I have some kind of ****ed up Paul McGrath problem with my knees. And have had a couple of broken fingers for the same reason as you.
McCloskey report and undercard results http://boxing-ireland.com/20101002_mccloskey_barry_morrison_22.html :good
Have to say, i think bernard dunne is a great rte pundit, he tells it how it is, and isnt biased towards the irish fighters. Like last night, he said exactly what i was thinking, when paul called out khan, dunne said that he would need to watch himself when in against the better fighters as he can be wide open to a shot, and could very well get KO'd. This was better than mick dowling saying that khan would be afraid to fight paul, this i think is laughable. The only way i would see khan even considering paul as a fight would be as a voluntary fight as a tune up to fight eg bradley. I know paul would leap at the chance to have that fight.
Just after checking out the EBU situation of the titles There is nearly a clean sweep of British and Irish champions. And 3 more fights to happen with British or Irish challengers, Steve Foster Jr beat Kirakosyan last night too, TKO 3
RTE are a bunch of tossers who couldnt even run a bath, the only half decent pundit is dunne, the commentary is quite possibly the worst worldwide and the interviews are just **** sucking sessions by that guy who wears a wig and looks like a frog, to be talking about bradley khan and alexander is laughable, mccloskey would get hurt by all 3 badly
he looks like a mutant! If they want to throw McCloskey in for a world title anytime soon he will need to step up against better opposition then the likes of morrison....
I wouldn't quite have phrased it like that Slayer but you're right. RTE shows are absolute amateur hour they way they are run. The problem, in general, is that RTE don't employ specialist people for these things. Daragh Maloney is just as likely to be doing GAA, LoI or Go Kart Racing as he is boxing. Marty Morrisey is a ****ing embarrasment, Joanne Cantwell is a ****ing balloon head. Even look at the stuff between rounds. Obviously the people in the outside broadcast production office don't know boxing because they never pick out the important/interesting clips for the slow mo replays between rounds. And the interviews are brutal. I thought Max Kellerman and Larry Merchant could be woeful at times but jaysus it's cringeworthy. As for Jimmy Magees commentary, he rambles on like he has senile dementia. I actually think Dave Boy would benefit from someone who had a clue to bounce off of.
