I'm looking for a way to legally get fights without any commentary.

and its so much better than having some annoying broadcaster blurting out which punches he thinks landed or didn't land.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Probably from the promoters. I remember when the Hearns/Leonard rematch came up there was a cable channel advertising the fight, and they were showing Hearns/Kinchen without commentary. All you heard was the crowd.

It would be interesting to have some fans who never saw Holmes-Cobb evaluate it without Cosell's commentary tainting their opinions. While Howard came under substantial media criticism for his motives and self serving conduct, the fact is that his coloring of that match continues to inflict upon how it has been perceived ever since.

The one major pundit who seemed able to completely filter out Cosell to produce a genuinely independent analysis of Holmes-Cobb at the time was Flash Gordon. (And Flash was indeed a major figure in boxing at the height of his prominence just then. "Tonight's Boxing Program" was being advertised nation wide on Bass and Lederman's syndicated "Cavalcade of Boxing" program at the time. Remember the hot model who parodied those Old Spice commercials by saying to the camera, "All my men read 'Tonight's Boxing Program,' or they wear nothing at all!"?)

Any fans who watch Holmes-Cobb without commentary would likely already be familiar with Cosell's framing of that event. However, I've had people I know also read Gordon's positive account before viewing it for the first time. Without exception, all of them agreed with how Flash assessed it, discounting Howard's skewed and derogatory take.

Yeah, you're paying a pretty penny for his fights though and he's not currently answering my latest requests. All his fights are in storage too so he may have what you're looking for, but it won't be ready.

I think so! Will be the first time I've been abroad for a fight. Extremely excited.
