Yep, very different styles. Thanks thanks. Yeh after a while I sort of just stormed in. It was mainly because in the Ams you get the guy hurt and flurry you can force a count. I was doing it just to force the count. Get you 100% Not at all, I need guys pointing out my weaknesses so I cna work on them.
I can't give you any constructive advice because compared to most guys on the classic I know **** all. However I was impressed, you have a classy aesthetic style thats fun to watch!:good
I am very impressed. You've got some serious skills developing there. Anticipating his attacks and countering in combination, throwing shots from different angles, nice work with the jab, nice defence. Showing the signs of an experienced fighter. In terms of improvements, I would focus on hitting harder - really getting your legs behind your shots - and maintaining distance or smothering your opponent when he's trying to chase you down. Really good stuff though GP.
itry praising a fighter, bloody hell Cheers pal. I thought my power has come on a lot recently but always room for improvements, eh?
Wow, damn; I'm impressed sir.......... The pros: quick, short, accurate combinations, ability to sense when to press, clearly well-conditioned, nice jab........not a hell of a lot of bad to say. The cons: In this fight at least, it seemed you didn't much use your advantage in height and reach. You didn't "fight tall" as it were. Hard to argue with what you did because you stopped the guy, but I had to pick something....... Fantastic work.
I saw the combo of his, which you rode out and then the counter that kinda put a brake on him...I like what I saw GP...and McGrain is right in that you look more relaxed in there...good show my man!! Another thing, like was told you already, try to keep in mind some of Monzon's craft..and keep the right distance...I like the way you drop in the right also...well done GP!!
He'll be unbearable now. When he joined he was a **** poster who couldn't fight. Now he's a brilliant poster who can fight. Keeping him in his place sure will be tough.
Cheers pal. I think I gave up my height as I knew I could take him and just looked to almost walk through him. Cheers I'm sure you will be there to keep me down.
and you have bags of heart and bottle greg....it was quite a pace in there, and he looked strong... even though we havent met i'm proud of ya greg :good
Good stuff, Greg. As McGrain said, you looked quite relaxed in there. It's a good thing. Ya gotta sharpen up on those hooks, though. You throw a lot of arm punches, although you have a solid jab. You need to work on loosening up your upper-body, but more for offensive efficiency than defensive, as you seem to have a solid enough guard. Work on getting full torque and snap in those punches. You're mighty lanky so it may take some time for your body to fully mature and take advantage of that sort of thing, but there's no problem getting the extra practice in early. Overall, though, solid work. I thought you looked good, albeit against a hack of an opponent.
