The light-welterweight will have his work cut out against the big-hitting Belfast fighter, who is rated as one of his nation's brightest talents.

Problems with the official weighing scales at the athletes' village on Monday disrupted the team's preparations, and both Hooper and Woods will have to be weighed-in ahead of their contests on Tuesday morning.

Assistant coach Don Abnett said the situation is far from ideal, but backed his fighters to cope.

"We have spoken to the boys and told them to not let what happened this morning get to them, which is not easy, but they are talented fighters and hopefully they can go out there and do us proud," he said.

I just watched a paki kid stop a guy from tanzania. Score was about 11-1 at the time of stoppage.

Thing is...the tanzanian scored with three right hands imo that werent scored. It was a joke. He was never going to win but he was never going to be rewarded with points for landing punches either.

The scoring system and judging is laughable.
