I thought Addie's intention was to explore some lesser known fighters and/or fights, but so far, with just a few exceptions, most of the stuff guys posted is quite well known. I'll go with the lesser known/forgotten classics theme.

Raul Marquez (I'm listing this because there is a quality copy on You Tube, and this 2008 fight between two old warriors is absolute proof you don't need great fighters to make good fights. You need good match making.)

i'm a firm believer that a long established champ has to have his title ripped away from him and not stolen.it didn't happen in that fight.leonard probably pipped hagler but the way he left a bad taste.
what do you think ??

the ring magazine at the time had that fight at 50/50.i didn't agree, the marvellous one didn't either:twisted:

 

he was certainly bangin' em over, wasn't he.then fell apart after he met hagler.

 

mugabi would have ruined a lot of middles that night but hagler is the No.1 for me

 

Lennox Lewis

1. Tommy Morrison

Yes, Tommy wasn't all that, he had a massive left hook and a seriously shaky chin.... but Lewis belted him something rotten. Lennox at his absolute best around 1996.

2. Andrew Golota

I think at the time Golota was regarded as the new ''Baddest Man on the Planet'', and was wiped out inside a round.

3. Hasim Rahman II

The last punch sounded like a bomb going off..... Rahman not being all that is offset by the fact that he sparked Lennox in the first fight.
