Overeem would annihilate Sergei in the K1. Did you see what Ghita did to Kharitonov's legs? He kicked the living **** out of them. Overeem would do the same. Sergei's boxing is solid but he never moves his head. He looked good at this GP but his opponent was way in over his head.

I've just watch the draw. Ghita choose Saki ... very interesting
They took some balls from a box.
Saki had nr1 ball he choose his bracket red corner of the 3rd fight and then Ghita had the nr2 ball and he sit next to Saki in the blue corner of the 3rd match. Then there was a owwww from the crowd

do I think he is better than a prime hoost or aerts of course not!

his accomplishments have not come anywhere close to that, but could he beat schilt and win the gp this year...........its possible:deal

I was not too impressed with Kharitonov but he did look ok, still for the sake of setteling the score it would be an interesting matchup.

badr hari rubber match would be far better though.:fire:fire:fire

I think the JLB Kyotaro fight was great and I think he did great for a 38 year old. Lets not forget Kyotaro knocked out Manhoef and more recently he even knocked out Aerts. He also has a win over Saki. He's still a very underrated fighter. Of course the endin was dissapointin, but the fight itself was great with plenty of action. JLB would be great in movies with his menacing looks and his physique; he would be a great badguy.

Thoroughly enjoyed this event! Devastating wins from Overeem, Saki and Ghita. Aerts/Teixeira and JLB/Kyotaro were also awesome fights although JLB kinda ruined it by walking out. JLB seemed pissed from the get go and looked good in there I thought, but Kyotaro hung with him very well and proved to have an excellent chin.

Overeem looked excellent. Calm under pressure, picked his counters very well and put Edwards away. Very intelligent fight from him and I think he proved that he has a very good chance of winning the GP this year.

Saki looked awesome. His kicks as usual were excellent but he surprised me slightly with how good his hands were there. Loved it!!! According to Marloes Coenen, he will be trying his hand at MMA next year. Can't wait for that. With the calibre of striking he brings he will be very dangerous if he adds in some takedown d and BJJ. Training at Golden Glory will be a massive plus as well. Really hope he goes for it and does well.
