  2. Nonsense.

Judah clearly knocked Floyd down. His glove touched the mat, yo.

you can't say a guy has a great chin when he's barely been hit. Taking a few flush punches certainly doesn't prove it.

Trying taking flush cleans shots to the jaw from a puncher and walking thru it. That'll prove you got a pretty decent chin.

if you can take sustained punishment like that throughout a fight, then you have a great chin.

in 15 years hes probably been hit the least of any fighter with that career...so i wouldnt credit his chin he just hasnt been hit much do to superb defense... But i do also belive judah dropped him, floyds glove hit the canvas, last i checked thats a knockdown, ref was an idiot...

Really? You don't think Floyd's defense capabilities are more the reason he's never been badly hurt?

BTW, Vitali's stoppages had nothing to do with his chin. Rather flawed premise, but I understand what you are trying to suggest.

PBF has an underrated chin and underrated toughness. Is his chin the best in boxing? No but it's far from the worst.

Mosley is bigger the Mayweather. Always been.
Yes floyd looks buzzed when he gets hit but thats because he dosent see the punch. If he sees the punch it gets rolled or Blocked if he dosent hes like anyother fighter it rocks him. He does have really good recovery tho.

    Smartest post in this thread.

Floyd has an above average chin. We won't ever find out if it's iron or not.

Maybe a slightly above average chin but he really doesn't get hit too often so it's usually not a problem. Most of the time even when he gets hit he can roll with it and stiffen up before impact. If he had an iron jaw like Margo he wouldn't fight so defensively and instead choose to just stand in the pocket and go toe to toe without fear because he can rely on his handspeed and reflexes.

Most people with tight defense don't take the punches as well as your typical brawler or pressure fighter and they usually learn this very early in their career.

Glen Johnson, was stopped by Hopkins in 97. Floyd, never been down or stopped in over 40 fights in a long career.

It was stopped because Johnson was being badly, badly outclassed. He was never really hurt in the fight. Johnson's never been down. Not once. Floyd has been down from taking a knee with a broken hand and he's been unofficially down in his fight against Judah...and as you've mention he's been rocked a few times before. The one time I've seen Johnson really rocked was against Tavoris Cloud recently.

That he hasn't been down much is more of a testament to his defense than his chin.

Every fighter in history past, present and in the future will be stunned by a punch. Floyd, never been hurt by a punch which is a BIG difference. When Mosley landed those two KO type right hands Floyd kept going forward. When he was hit hard by Chop Chop he kept coming forward. Being rocked and stunned like you suggested is when you don't have your facilities and wobbling all over the ring.
