Looking at the list of 45 that are going to be voted on, he's the least deserving. Donald Curry is 10 times more deserving to get in than him. I know he's 34-0 but about a dozen of those "Wins" are considered to be anywhere from debatable to downright robberies that gave people the impression that German judges cheat for their fighters. Ottke probably did more than any modern champ to HURT the game. So, why is he on the ballot?

46 have tried, 46 have failed. There is no blueprint for Sven Ottke.

With the benefit of time, I think it's fair to award him with an extra dozen wins for the knockout of the century against Mundine. 46-0 it is!

Let's not forget, 20 defenses of IBF belt over 6 years, and later unified. Decent names on record consisting of Mitchell, prime Mundine, Reid, prime Glen Johnson, the venerable Tocker Pudwell, and a decent Branco..
    Not TOO bad

Yeah, his inclusion is quite debatable. Doubt he'll get in, so I don't think there's much to worry about.

Your post is disgusting. Ottke was a disgrace for boxing, he got away with gifts, every close decision got scored his way. The judges were corrupt every time out and even sometimes the referee (reid fight)

Because of his manager, he got an IBF title fight with just 12 professional fights. He then fought 2 very close fights with Charles Brewer and of course it is the unkown challenger and not the champion who gets the benefit of the doubt. He also gets the benefit of the doubt against mitchell for instance and Tate who the judge stops as he was just gettiong to Ottke. Tehre were many more like that Danish fighhter and Reid, 2 fights Ottke clearly got outpointed. I have seen a lot of his fights and what went on was absolutely disgusting. On top of that, the incompetent German Crowd which cheered Ottke for any of his light flurries.

His undefeated record does not mean anything, if you know there was corruption going on. During the course of the fight, the exact scores were communicated to him which is strictly illegal, and then of course all Ottke had to do was run for the last few rounds.
