I was one of a famous trio of great champs that fought each other in
great bouts...I am now the least known of the 3 who were the best in
our time and division..i licked some great fighters, and I was no "pussycat".
    Who am I ?

I was thinking Dick Tiger along with Gene Fullmer and Joey Giardello. The 'no pussycat' line is what got me thinking on this line.

TGA, you got it Bobcat Bob Montgomery was the third lightweight champ.
These 3 great lightweights fought each other, and always put on a war...
I saw all threeof these champs as MSG.
I saw Bobcat Montgomery win the title from Beau Jack in May, 1943...
What a fight that was...Two bulls in their prime tearing into each other..Then never avoided each other those days in the 1940s...:good

D, you were so close...It was "Bobcat" Bob Montgomery, the 3rd lightweight champion, of that great trio...
