I have never been seriously hurt or dropped sparring. A bit dazed? Yeah, been there. But I have knocked someone out sparring. Me and this guy who really didn't like each other. Coach refused to let us spar for the longest because he knew we'd try to kill each other.

One day, though, after another heated argument between me and this guy, coach said "**** it. get your asses in the ring." The thing is, I already knew this guy's tendencies. He'd always lunge in with his left hand dropped, so I just stepped to the left, and let him run right into my right hand. BOOM! Lights out. He never ****ed with me again. In fact, he quit coming to the gym soon after.

I've taken a knee for bodyshots many times against heavier people, but I've only been out once. Not even long enough to hit the canvas, I woke up just before touching it. The guy I sparred was a fair bit heavier than me. Against my own weight I've never really been in trouble.

Wow, you're all over the place on this forum, RDJ. I had no idea you boxed. I'd like to step into the ring with you. You could get your payback for what I did to that dog 17 years ago, or I could get payback for you calling me a "piece of ****".

I've been put down once when I was a beginner, and once on a liver short from someone 5 years older (I was 14) and 14lbs heavier.

I've put guys down on bodyshots, and dropped guys a couple of times. Our sparring is hard but, I'm told to hold back against the guys my own age (I'm abit more experienced.)

i know it sounds absolutely terrible but in every other way a really good coach. intelligent, switched on guy, everyone likes him. all the lads who have 1 2 1 s with him are technically tight but he seems incapable of turning the dial down when sparring with those less good than him. which is pretty much everyone!

think the guys who have personal sessions with him get it lighter as they pay him a lot more cash haha. but pretty sure people have left the gym because of it. and you do learn nothing as you are too terrifed to try anything new and end up being picked off.

The worst one I got was when this freakin southpaw landed a clean straight left onto my right chin. I saw it coming, but I had my right hand down and I couldn't get it up in time.

It stunned me pretty bad and I got wobbly, but I didn't get KD. I couldn't clinch either so I got hit with several more combos. Fortunately, I pulled a 'Clottey' and covered up and survived the onslaught.

I actually never got knocked down. Also, I'm so scared of getting liver shots that my right elbow is always bocking my right side, that I've never felt a clean liver shot either. But I do get pelted alot since my defense sux, it might just mean I have a granite chin. That or the guys I've been sparring against have questionable punching power.

Never really been hurt, got caught with an uppercut to the body right inbetween the ribs by someone who was at least 210lbs. Considering I can make welterweight I'm quite happy I managed to stay up  Had a nose bleed & a cut lip before but that's about it. My defence is nice and tight ;)

the most hurt ive ever been was when i went in the ring with a pro.

he was boxing my head off the whole fight but he kinda realized that head shots were not effective and he got me one good time in the liver.

i didnt go down but i stopped punching and he teed off on me.

I felt absolutly no headshots after he landed that bodyshot. i was just in raw pain but my mentality made me refuse to take a knee.
