Can't tell if you're trolling. But I'll bite. The NY Daily News reported it, NOT THE NEW YORK TIMES. Big difference. Tim Smith wrote the article, and he's a fan boy of FMJ. Even though he was nuthugging Pac with no issues to get his name out there on that Pac-Cotto promo lead up. I digress. Teddy Atlas blindly repeated it with absolutely no check on the facts. Presented NO E-MAIL as proof. Nothing. Just spit it out and never addressed it again because those bull**** e-mails do not exist.
The story I got was he used to get into a lot of street fights and he and a friend got in a scrap with some guys and one pulled a knife on him and slashed him down the face.
Teddy Atlas's face, with or without scar, looks like the epitome of evil. His voice and vocal mannerisms are creepy as ****, too. If I were a filmmaker, I'd cast him as a mobster or serial killer. Aside from that, I hate Teddy Atlas with a deep passion. :hi:
Atlas is a ****. a worthless, manipulative, ego maniac **** who has done nothing in his career but ruin fighters. He has no talent, no special abilities other than being a loud, *****. He motivates like a lesser version of a drill sargent, but does not instill any skills or confidence in his fights. total ****.
I know he worked with some good fighters (most briefly and hard to count Tyson as atlas was young and only assisting cus on the job for a brief time when tyson was a kid). The poster I quoted was implying that only the non "elite legit" fighters he trained complained about him or that Haugen and Guinn are a lot less "legit" than the likes of grant, briggs, lalonde
