IF chisora beats wlad, where would you rank him.

    interesting point this i believe, since there is an ongoing debate as to whether or not people consider wlad a lineal champ or not.

    now we all know wlad will smack chisora around so badly he might go to jail for it, but what if chisora does do the unthinkable?

    would he assume wlad's place in the rankings? and be considered #1/champ?

    or would he come in at #3 with haye and vitali moving up a place?

    or would he still be classed as a **** fighter?

    personally i think if he does beat wlad, he should be considered the man to beat, but people dont always agree with linearity.

    He's so overmatched that he'd have to win by such a lucky/freak occurance that he'd only be #3 in my mind. If he won the rematch he'd be #1.

    i can see that. it seems ludicrous to think he could be considered the best hw by next year. then again leon spinks was overmatched, douglas was overmatched, ali was overmatched, rahman was overmatched. it has happened in the past and when it did, they all went to the top of the pile.

    granted none of them where anywhere near as bad as chisora, perhaps spinks but he had a gold medal behind him atleast.

    He wont. But if he did it would go down as one of the biggest shocks in boxing history.

    If he somehow beats the champ, he becomes the champ. That's the way it works. That wouldn't be to say he's the best fighter in the division, but that's how things go.

    Chisora would have to move into the top 5 in the world but people would take some convincing that he was true world class.He would have to win a return fight or beat another top 10 fighter.People would just assume time had caught up with Wlad and that he was shot.

    it would be similar upset to Tyson v Douglas!

    And he would be seen same as Douglas prior facing Holyfield

    He'd be # 1 with Vitali being champ, Wlad being # 2, Harrison being # 3, and Haye # 1941

    Very likely not but he will go for it and Wlad hasn't the best chin, if Wlad takes the fight lightly...you know? Shocks do happen. As I said he'll at least try and win which is an idea that hasn't occurred to many Wlad opponents for a while.
    I like Chisora, not trying to say he's a top fighter or anything but he's good to watch.

    Realistically though it is a mismatch. I can't think of a bigger upset off the top of my head except Ali-Spinks and there were extenuating circumstances there. I'd love it if Chisora won though, if only for the amusement of reading farmboxer's pathetic excuses afterwards, like Chisora's shorts grazed Wlad's knees or the soles of his boots scuffed the canvas so that Wlad's balance was off. Or maybe even he used the wrong kind of conditioner that morning.

    Well, I would argue that Wlad is the heavyweight champion of the world and that at the moment, Haye and Vitali are belt holders.

    He doesn't become the champ because Wlad isn't the champ. He would become the Ring titlist though, and there's no real belt for just being "the champ", so I guess he'd be a people's champ in a way.
