And to think there are people who think this fight isn't going to sell? :-(

    This thread is awesome, BTW.

Jim Twite was a fairly average amateur boxer not known for being a big puncher. he caught haye with a big/lucky shot that stopped an over confident and under prepared Haye. he was 18 at the time, you CANNOT read anything into it.

Mock, Thompson, Mormeck knockdowns you can read something into, but a KO as an amateur when your 18 counts for nothing. Do you want me to name fighters that got KO's as amateurs aged 18....its a long list and includes allot of great fighters with great chins.

Also, does anyone know who trained Audley before he was with McGirt?

Anyone that watched Haye as a amateur would know he was chinny. His body wasn't developed properly at the time. Very leggy and ungainly. He was dropped numerous times.

He's obviously now developed physically and has still got a problem with his chin it's not ever going to be rock solid but that's a big part down to his reckless abandon when throwing shots. He leaves himself in bad positions technically. At cruiser i'd say a lot was down to his weight issues.

David Haye is all about his ego, just like Prince Naseem Hamed. I think David Haye will be embarrassed if he is beaten by Audley Harrison, and i honestly don't think he can cope with the hate and criticism that will come his way after the fight.

And it will come his way badly.

Remember the media want the people to think Audley Harrison, is a coward, can't fight, has no heart. Allot of people who don't know boxing believe this hype, and that's allot people.

But people who know boxing, have been more reserved opinion, when it's come to predicting this fight....and talking about Audley Harrison.

Steve Bunce himself, told David Haye. "That deep down, you know Audley Harrison is not a simple fighter, this fight is not so simple"

Steve Bunce said that.......i didn't say it.

If David Haye is beaten badly, i just think he will be more inclined to slip into deep depression. David Haye is one of those guys, and one those athlete's that everybody has always expected to do well.....he has always been given confidence. He's not been blown up, like a Jeff Lacy or other sporting prodigy's in all sports. David Haye has simply been supported, what ever ambition David Haye said he wanted to achieved from a very young age, he was supported.

"He has had his own way, from a young age"

It's basic psychology, sport is very very tough mentally. Many athlete's when they retire, fall into some sort of depression, Nigel Benn, Chris Eubank "but he wouldn't admit it, Frank Bruno, Steve Collins, Paul Hokinson, John Conteh, do you want me to carry on...........?

They are like soldiers coming back from the Golf War.

When Audley Harrison took up Amatuer boxing at 20 something years old, do you think many people where saying he could become commonwealth & Olympic Champion...? NO

But on the other hand David Haye, was probably a stud when he was a young. Fighting for his country at a amateur level from his teen years. David Haye has never really had anybody say............

    "You can't do it"

Not on the level of Audley Harrison. And people need to sit back and give Audley Harrison credit for that.

All the way throughout Audley Harrison's career, he's been told he can't do this and that. But what changed Audley Harrison was when he turned professional, that's when people starting to actually expect something of him. Like he has admitted himself, his ego got to big.........and he fell, but he got back up.

Audley Harrison needs critics, for him to perform to his best.

David Haye right about now, has been a spoiled athlete. He's had everything his own way, he has never endured no criticism, nowhere near on the level of Audley Harrison. Accept for maybe the flak he has gotten for not facing the K-BRO's..................and look how that has affected him.

He's started lying to his fans, he's turned into a complete and utter ****. He's confused, and his whole personality is being amplified he's not relaxed at all.

What this country has did to Audley Harrison is one of the worst forms of bullying you can receive............and i think Audley Harrison should be ****ing knighted...when he wins against David Haye.

The media have totally tried to destroy his image, they have totally tried to strip him of his pride and dignity.

No man that's steps inside of a boxing ring for a living, and who has won a Olympic Gold for his Queen and Country is a coward.

But throughout all of it, Audley Harrison's demeaner, and aura has never change. And he has spoke the same prophecy, and truly believes in what he says.

When David Haye is beaten, do you honestly think he would be able to handle that kind of criticism..........? I don't

Why...? because he's never had any criticism in his life, deep down David Haye is not that tough. He's had everything his own way, that's not good preparation psychological.......for the **** he's about to go through after November 13th.

Audley Harrison knows this, and spoke about it last night.

Nah, could be, but the three he mentioned were Buddy, Shaheed Saluki, and it sounded like Bob Feller, but I'm not sure what he said on that one.

The above post is what makes me have question marks about whether Harrison can do it, this persecution thing goes beyond a joke, whether it be true or not, at some point you have to take the high road and use that as motivation, not dwell on it, not use it as an excuse at to why things have not gone your way, thats a losers mentality, things have not got Harrison's way because of Harrison, not because of the media, not because of public pressure to succeed, and if it did, then there faith in him was misguided from the beginning. You cant act like its purely a witch hunt against Harrison, if he had stellar performances, got close to a world title, do you think he would still be hated? of coarse not, Harrison is most likely **** on because people actually believe!! there is something there, he should take it as a complement.

If Harrison goes into this fight with that mentality, I dont think he will change his mentality, he needs to let go of all that take a look at himself, then he can improve, prepare himself better in! those areas.

rummy- i really enjoyed the interview, and i will make sure i listen in future, the three of you do an excellent job. well done.

being a londoner i like both haye and audley and have supported both from day one, a few days ago i spent an hour comparing both and have come to this conclusion, haye is the bigger and more explosive puncher, but also he is quicker than audley in all departments and its hayes speed, power and footwork that will be the deciding factor, i dont see this fight lasting longer than three rounds, audleys southpaw stance will have haye thinking a bit in the first round and that big punch that audley knocked sprott out with i doubt will even get thrown.

they better get a good undercard for this cos audleys getting knocked out within 3 rounds.

You see, afew weeks before this fight was announced.

I stated that.........i did'nt want Audley Harrison to face David Haye. Because i can relate to both of these guys, these guys both share traits of my personality.......i can relate to both of them.

In general life, i never really get on with people who are too alike myself. I've fallin out with friends, because we always make a competition out of it.

I like David Haye, but he's to much like me.

Audley Harrison is somebody i would look upto on a day to day basis, if i was his friend. And i would'nt mind if he over shadowed me....

But on the other hand, David Haye is somebody i would'nt want to overshadow me, when we walk in a club.......or workout together in the boxing gym.

I like this interview aswell, and i would love to shag that new reporter woman...............look at her getting all hot and bothered, because two alpha males are in the studio............insted of the men she is normally around.

You can see how tired David Haye is, both guys are really pissed off with each other.

This was the last time, they where ever together.......and David Haye refused to go on soccer a.m with Audley Harrison, after this.
