There's a reason why Floyd is a runner, he knows his chin isn't up to snuff or he would dig into the trenches and go to war. Who the **** didn't know that?
My theory is that Floyd's defense is so exemplary because it serves him as a necessity for his suspect chin.
lol how often does Floyd go toe to toe to prove he has a great chin? lol. Give me a break. Guys with iron chins are fighters who set their feet and bang. This is the most ridiculous thread I've seen on here so far and that's saying something. I'm a Floyd fan but I would never talk about his imaginary "iron chin". Give me an everloving break.
I gotta say I am shocked. Actually I am not. This is really the most absurd title for a thread I have ever heard in my life. It is an insult to the guys that fight the best and really go to war and get hurt and have no problem with it. Floyd avoided that entire scenario maticulously and that is why an older Mosley nearly ended it in the second round. Not only not the best chin but a curiously suspect one.
No doubt, it's one of the first things you learn as a boxing fan. The guys with iron chins plant their feet, and they take one to give one. Guys who discover that they don't like being hit, aka don't have a great chin, box. Boxers generally do not have great chins and sluggers generally feel their chin will hold up. If you have a great chin and aren't afraid of going blow for blow, toe to toe, that's exactly what you do. Guys with great chins don't pot shot. I mean come the **** on, this thread title is so absurd, it's on a new level.
Cotto was also squeezing down to unhealthy levels in order to make 140. His troubled punch resistance at jww has mostly been inconspicuous at welter; thus, the 'Mosley right hand' standard is a more applicable measurement, imo.
Don't try to put your fruity AZZ idea onto me. I never said he has an iron chin. I said he has an above average chin. Read my **** if you want to reply to me. He brawled with ODLH in the final seconds of their fight and took the famous left hook fine. He walked right through a Zab Judah uppercut on the chin. He didn't go down from a perfect Mosley counter, that he didn't see. Castillo, who has a very respectable KO record, wasn't ever able to hurt him.
lmao, when you run and pot shot your chin gets rarely tested genius. Corley rocked him, Judah put him down which he didn't get credit for, Mosley rocked him twice and Floyd held on for dear life, lol. Manny is the same way, how many times did Marquez rock Manny? lol. Quite a few. Above average chin, maybe, even that's a stretch because he barely tests it with his full run of a style.
