Another ****** who rates Vitali higher than Wlad with absolutely nothing to suggest he's in the same class, and also thinks he'd beat a prime Lewis.

When he lost by stoppage to the same version (perhaps a worse version) than was sparked by Hasim Rahman of all people.

I disagree with:

-Morrison only beat one top 10 fighter his entire career, a marathon against old Foreman. His inconsistent defense, limited offense, and highly questionable durability would be doom against Wlad.

-One year removed from the ring and out of shape Mercer pressured a comeback Lewis into a tough fight, but I doubt that would always the case. Mercer was tough but easily out boxed by the likes of Ferguson. Wlad's domination of a game but old Mercer suggests he would probably always have the power to check his chin.

-I have no reason to doubt Wlad couldn't at the very least duplicate Lewis' snoozer decision over Tua.

-Ike is a big ???? Impressive against an upstart Byrd and Tua but also looked bland against lesser competition.

- Briggs has no prime and he got schooled by McCline for a chance to face Wlad many many years ago.

 

You're entitled to your opinion. But Mercer and Morrison were never world class fighters. They had some highs and some lows, but they consistently lost to the top fighter. My opinion? Mercer would have a better shot than Morrison. Tommy would be destroyed by Wlad. He'd never get past the jab and he's too chinny himself to do what Mercer might be able to do, ie, take some punishment and wear Wlad out.

 

Dude, no way does Tommy "One Dimensional Duke" Morrison beat Wladimir. No ****in' way.

Same for Marciano, Patterson, Liston, Briggs, Tua, and Ike.
