    He is ranked 6th by the WBO at Featherweight.

    If Walsh wins the Commonwealth on October 23rd his 1st defence will be agaisnt Appleby on this card.

    I really rate both. Walsh clearly hasn't faced anyone of a decent standard but I still think a classy boxer like Walsh who can clearly dig would cause Appleby some problems.

    Burns is the sort of fighter that needs to be tested so you can see the best of him... I don't see what this fight achieves

    Walsh vs Appelby is as close a call as they come... Appelby has the better skills but more fragile and too eager to brawl..

    Don't know much if anything of Burns' opponent but i hope he beats the guy and keeps the title for a good while.

    oh well i suppose we can allow burns a soft touch after that last performance.

    Even for a easy first defence this is taking the ****.

    I'd warned against the title being used as a ''let's give every domestic fighter a payday'' title, yet that seems preferable to this option.

    Billy Nelson stated (correctly it seems and I disagreed :patsch) that Burns performs better against better guys.... so let's expect this to be a stinker.

    There's nobody in the division that Warren should be afraid of putting him in with..... given that barring a few dodgy moments here and there he tooled one of the top 3 fighters in the division pretty easily.
