Thats far from the general view on the forum, we appreciate Shannon but he's obviously not the greatest thing in boxing, and rightfully has been criticized over the years.

Still, personally.. he seems like a genuinely nice guy, I would hope fighters read these boards and not take every little thing said about them to heart. As most things said are extreme and well, attempts at getting some sort of response.

I **** my pants whilst I was watching a video in the Lounge the other day. You know those videos that intelligently draw you in closer to the screen to get a better look...then **** off...some weird **** is screaming at you (an alien in this particular video). ****er nearly give me a heart attack.

Couldn't imagine what I'd do if some Predator lookalike jumped out the screen at me.

 

Totally I'd be more concerned with how the **** the acid got in my system without me knowing.

Not showing a huge amount of mental strength there either Briggsy !

Y'know that is somwthing thats always bothered me too , i was born asthmatic but I dont lean on that **** as an excuse. I always get pissed right off when we wooden-lungs are portayed as whimps and **** in the movies etc and Shannon is supporting that theory !

 

I have asthma aswell...not as serious as some have it. And in the 14 years I boxed, only once did I have trouble with it...and this was after a bout, not during.

 

I have never called him any of those things ..I just said he was a bum as far as heavy weights go ..

 

I guess you're not worried about him popping out of the screen, ey?

 

But...he's fighting for all of you asthmatics come the sixteenth...he's an asthma activist, man. He's really your hero. :yep
