he spoke a lot about his "legacy" during his career, but what will you remember Ricky Hatton for? saying that he's still got time to either a) clear his name.. or b) go the full Gazza route
I'll always cherish the moment when Hatton came out during the Tszyu fight and the crowd just lost their ****ing mind. I think he'll go down as our most remembered boxer. Heart of a lion, all of this **** he's going through won't matter years to come.
WBU cans for years. Home cooking and cheating against an all but retired Tszyu. 'Jose (Luis Castillo) is one of the best p4p fighters of all time, but i'm confident of tekkin' 'im' All over the place and saved by the bell against Collazo. Outclassed and sparked by PBF. The shoelaces and ref against Lazcano. Caught by a wild shot by Pac, despite Wicky winning the 2nd by a country mile. That's boxing, 1 shot can change a fight. Engwish bwekkies Lines of coke Taste up his arse with regard to burds. Avoiding Junior Think that just about covers it.
i had 2 great trips to vegas to watch ricky hatton. all the **** he gets, i think in time will be forgotten and i'll remember the good times :yep:good
A decent but not great world champ. Notable in that he may have inspired a new form of Internet transmitted mental illness in South East Asia.
Decent fighter with a great following, but by no means a great fighter in a British or world sense. Disapointed with some of his career choices, lets leave it at that. I also think he's going to be greatly remembered for not dedicating himself to the sport which is criminal in this game. This coke business is only going to heighten that perception rightly or wrongly.
Ought to be- a good world champion (not best as Gaz stated), at 1 point best 140lber in the world and the biggest (no pun intened!) draw in biggest boxing history like him or not. The Tzyu win gets downgraded occasionally but despite being past his best was still 3-5 in lb for lb lists and was a terrific scalp for Hatton. You had to be the best in the world at the current time to beat Ricky, thats what his legacy says for me
Hatton will go down in the history books..................... as the person who ducked his arch-rival for 10 years
