I'm 38 years old and the first fight I ever watched was Leonard-Hearns I when I was 9 years old. I probably watched Ali-Frazier when I lived in the Philippines but was probably too young to remember being 4 years old. Followed boxing as closely as I could with all the TV coverage in the 80s and whatever PPV fights I could watch in the 90s with Roy Jones Jr. and Oscar De La Hoya.

I agree many Pac fans just recently started watching boxing because those fans are probably really young. The older Pac fans like myself have followed boxing forever since boxing has always been the #2 most watched sport on TV in the Philippines behind basketball. All the great fights of the 80s that were PPV here in America were shown live free on regular television in the Philippines.

Been watching with the family since I can remember, but first fight I can remember being hyped about was Mayweather going for his first title against Genaro Hernandez.

on weekends, I used to watch Dr. Ferdie Pacheco and Marv Albert on NBC or Gil Clancy with Tim Ryan on another channel in the morning, Wide World of Sport in the afternoon usually had either pro or amateur boxing. Weeknights USA Network would have fights hosted by Al Bernstein and Dave Bontempo.

In the 80's boxing was very much mainstream.

LMAO at this dumb alt thinking that *******s are new to boxing. I got hooked in to boxing when I saw Duran fight Leonard and lost. I also love listening to my uncles talk about old school fights that I didn't get to see. My father was at ring side during Thrilla in Manila.

You have got to be some sort of idiot to assume that Majority of Pac fans are new to boxing. Just because he have other things to do other than get in to a pissing contest on who's better doesn't mean we don't know ****.

*****s on the other hand, pretend to know boxing. They try so hard to utilize google and wikipedia and copy and paste whatever they see pertaining a certain Fighter.

And mayweather fans wear plastic bling for a necklace and carry stacks of 1 dollar bills pretending to be ballers.

An IQ test needs to be administered to those who will be receiving wellfare checks.

Most of Floyd's fans just started watching in 08 after watching MTV cribs. They don't realize that those cars that mayweather showed were towed away by banks and the Money he flashed were fakes.

Too bad MTV didn't show the IRS folks knocking on Floyd's door asking for their money.

I swear, Floyd fanatics are like crackheads thinking they are better then methheads (Pac fans).

Lovely short term memory many have, the Floyd fans here are just as bad. Thing is, the really embarressing Floyd fans don't stay but a short time, as their knowledge of the sports seems to be exposed only after a day or two.

    Yeah really. :hi:

Did I offend you? LOL Not my problem. It's not your fault you want to be just like floyd even if you look like a ****ing moron for buying those 10-20 dollar plastic blings. There's a limit to what wellfare checks can buy.

Or a few minutes. You're being too nice for giving them a day to get exposed as knowing nothing.
