Sergio has been rocked by some big punches, and he has never fought anybody with the power of AA. I voted not sure, but thinking about it, I think Arthur would pin him on the ropes at some point and get him out of there.
AA has a punchers chance. La Maravilla has a puncher's chance AND outboxes AA. The funny thing about Martinez is he's never really gone for the ko, but if the man almost stopped the unstoppable force in Williams and made it look easy which it wasn't, Sergio has very serious and underrated pop in his hands and I think he's just realizing that. To bad he's not a finisher or a ko artist he would of been huge with stoppages over Pavlik and Williams. Martinez UD Abraham
I think AA is not a good match up for Sergio. Heres proof. Kelly was never interested in fighting AA but thought(and thought wrong ) that they could atleast get Sergio which is the only reason Kelly fought him. Martinez has some flaws such as tiring in the middle rounds and plus AA is a more threatful Winky Wright who's defense will hold off any thing on the outside Sergio comes with. Dirrel was sucessful because he was bigger and quicker. You all saw how Dirrel was able to push AA off him to land the shot that floored AA. Sergio won't be able to do that. AA is a more sneaky dynamic counter puncher who will block alot of Sergios shots. I truly think AA gets him in the late rounds.
AA only needs to catch him once. And he's definitely catchable. As someone already said, Martinez is the better boxer, buts AA has the better chin and power. I don't think Martinez can avoid him for 12.
You say that because Sergio completely outboxed your girlfriend (Pavlik). AA by Tko. :hi: Stop haiting AA.
Martinez takes breaks. Abraham does too but while he's taking breaks, he can absorb Martinez' damage easily. While Martinez is taking his breaks, what will AA do to him? Probably knock him out. Abraham is the definition of a fighter that will take advantage if his opponents lets his guard down (figuratively or literally). It takes alot of mental stamina to beat him if you're smaller than him and I don't think Martinez has it.
After Abraham blatantly ducked his rightful mandatory, and the IBF allowed him to **** Zuniga over big time, the IBF also allowed Abraham to make a voluntary defense against Elvin Ayala, same guy Lemuiex took out in the first round. Ayala came within 28 seconds of lasting the distance. Martinez would beat Abraham with scores of around 120-108, 118-110. I find it difficult to imagine Abraham winning a single round.
I don't see him winning a lot of rounds either. But I would give him about a 55 % chance of KOing Martinez at some point in the bout.
Maravilla wins by wide UD....unless Arthur takes a cheapshot due to manic frustration from not being able to hit Martinez and getting stuck everytime he comes out of his shell.
