Groves is nowhere near ready for a fight with Ward.

Alot of dumb ****ers on here are forgetting what the tournament is about. Alot of people forget what Ward was before he got his two hometown gifts.

Now somehow George Groves isnt worthy of sharing the ring with Ward? You ****ers are on drugs. Right now Groves would probably stop Allen Green.

I mean this tournament was supposed to showcase the young talent in the division to determine who the "best" is.

So how can you dumb *******s not have a problem with a shot LHW(Johnson) entering the tournament, yet a skilled undefeated prospect somehow makes no sense?:huh

The only problem with this is that a lot of American fans will say the same things they're saying now about Chisora challenging Klitschko.

It may very well be that of the available super middleweights that are left (that is, healthy and not signed for another fight soon) Groves might be the best challenge for Ward - but people will point to him only having 10 fights and not having much of a name abroad.

Really? Some people don't know who George Groves is? WTF? Anyway, I don't think he's ready he needs quite a few more step up fights before he can take on an Andre Ward.

bumping so people can realize there arent many other options at 168 for Ward that make sense.

Groves is a solid, skilled fighter that will lay it all on the line in any fight.

Before you ask, No, I'm not British. Just a fan of the sport that follows fighters worldwide not just Americans.

Bute, Ward's worst nightmare, should be allowed to knock Ward out ASAP!

This is the same George Groves that turned down a career high payday to fight James DeGale despite calling him out for 2 years???

i knew you'd make an appearance in this thread with a comment like that. becoming very predictable rob

thread is complete bollocks though. at least chisora is possibly fighting wlad after beating a couple of rivals at the domestic scene and being in the top 3 domestically.

groves is a good prospect but right now he's below froch, magee, smith and degale out of the british/irish supermiddleweights. hardly the kind of fighter you'd throw in with someone like ward who beat the man widely considered to be the number 1 in the division

What so you know all the in's and out's to the contract that Warren offered Groves to fight Degale then do you? Warren is known to give out bull**** contracts that are heavily in his and his fighters favour. You also seem to forget that Hayemaker Pro. who represent Groves came back with an offer to Warren yet that was turned down by him and Degale.

Groves will beat Degale just like he did in the Ams when they eventually do meet. The fight shouldn't be made now anyway, let them gain more experience, become bigger names and have a showdown in Britain. 18 months from now, that fight will be huge barring any mishaps from either fighter.
