Prime for prime,Bowe would catch up with Bruno by the seventh or eighth. Bowe better all round. As usual,Frank would have his moments early on.

I agree prime for prime Bowe would win

But you are giving a prime Bowe a 7 year span in this instance - You see Bruno actually did fight Lewis and Tyson and Witherspoon

A version of Bowe that could beat witherspoon would not be able to beat any version of Lewis 7 years later.

But you just use Bowe best for a series of fights - Well Bowes best didnt last that long.

I Aknowleged Prime V Prime Bowe would win
    BUT
Take Bowe and Bruno let them fight once a year over a 10 year span of their careers - Bruno would win at least 6 times

I dont think Bruno could beat the version of Bowe that Golota lost to. Bowe could walk through a **** storm and catch Bruno at any time. Bowe wasnt going to be knocked out by Bruno he didnt have enough finshing power once he hurt an opponent, and he aint taking Bowe out with one righthand.

Tho limited Bruno had an awesome punch - considerably harder than Herbie Hide who had the Golota version of Bowe out on his feet.
Would of been a great fight anyway

Was there any possibility of it back then, was it ever talked of or did their careers never really allow them to cross paths, i cant really remember..

Bruno was a bit of a clubber. I can see him hurting Bowe but not finishing him. He may have hit harder than Hide, but he wasn't more explosive. Usually Bruno's finishing consisted of grabbing you and hitting you on the back of the head repeatedly.

He hit harder than Holyfield too, but that doesnt mean anything.

The Bowe from Holyfield I vs the Bruno from Lewis :think

    Bowe all day for me.

Nothing that Bruno does can really offset Bowe's offense.

I can see Frank having some early success with his jab and right hand as Bowe was always pretty hittable, but I think Riddick can take those and start to turn up the heat.... plus he won't have to go looking for Frank, who would stand his ground with anybody.

The outcome is pretty obvious, Bruno gets off to a fast start but starts to slow a little, and Riddick stops him on his feet around the 7th with the scores pretty even but Bowe clearly taking over.

    ------------------------------------------------------

As for later versions of Bowe, from the Golota fights - I still think Frank finds a way to lose. Golota hit Riddick with everything but the kitchen sink but couldn't put him away and ended up quitting in shame.

Obviously Bruno wouldn't quit, but his jab isn't on the level of Golota's and his output is lower, albeit more powerful. If Frank does land enough he can certainly knock Bowe out, but he probably doesn't and ends up going down in the championship rounds with both men battered and bruised.

I get the feeling that both guys are underrated on ESB, especially Bowe.

Maybe it's just on the ****** room than in the classic, I don't know.

All you ever hear is ''Golota gave him brain damage'' and ''He ran away from Lewis like a *****'', whereas Bruno is ''glass jawed'' and ''has no heart''.

Bowe fought Holyfield three times, and Bruno fought Lewis and Tyson x2.

    Some chickens

Bowe who beat Holyfield in Nov 1992 beats any version of Bruno! Frank's weaknesses are something you cannot get away with - when he was tagged he never tried to hold or surivive, his stamina wasn't the best, & nerves did play a factor!

Bruno may lead after a few rounds, but once he got tagged cleanly by an uppercut or right hand, the writing would be on the wall!

Bruno does well in the first half but Bowe eventually beats the crap out of him and stops him inside of 9.
