I can not understand how you can get Morrison to beat Wladimir?!

Foreman was trouble with Axel Shultz ( who get easily beaten by child wlad ) and Morrison barely beat Foreman. Wladimir destroyed Shultz..

Wlad would always have trouble with guys who punched hard and are able to get to him...a lot of these guys mentioned wouldn't be able to get to him though. Vitali is not as technically skilled but is less vulnerable.

I never use to be fans of them but they won me over. They're the best of this generation and would match up well in any era.

-Sadly, the Foreman fight is the best night of Morrison's career. It is his only victory over a ranked top 10 fighter. But yeah, the Duke KOed a bunch of wash ups and the great Joe Hipp once upon a time. Regardless of his highlights, he barely cracked the rankings briefly and fumbled his last chance at a legit title shot by getting blown out by the completely unranked Bentt.

-John Ruiz was boring but he was one the most sucessful fighters of his era, second only to Lewis. Ruiz got blew out early by Tua early his career but he came back, was often a high end top 10 fighter, managed 5 successful belt defenses, and scored wins over multiple top 5 fighters in Holyfield, Kirk Johnson, Rahman, and Golota. Only Lewis has more top 5 wins in the past decade, and only Wlad has matched him. So lets not lump the Quiet Man in with these guys.

Chageav was a successful belt holder and a top 3 fighter for several years with wins over Valuev and Ruiz. Eddie Chambers can be very exciting, he beat multiple top 10 fighters in Peter and Dimentrko, ended former contender Brock's career, and busted up Povetkin in a loss to earn his title shot. These guys aren't world beaters but they are more successful and consistent than Morrison. **** the other clowns you mentioned.

    true

alot of people hate them because they just dont got much competition in this era so they say oooh well a 1985 whoever would kill them ooh they suck.

alot of people dont want to put the boxing history books down and actually analyze this and be realistic

I would not be at all so sure. Ross Purity Morrison fought with the tie. Sanders is more than dangerous to Morrison, because of speed, size and power. Prime Lamon Brester style is more than dangerous to Morrison (iron chinned)

I hear peoples arguments when they say that well Wladimir was dropped by Sanders and Brewster. But that isn't the same Wladimir that is fighting now. The Wladimir of now would destroy either of them from any time in their careers.

Irrelevant as Wlad has went on to beat fighters better than the ones that dropped him in his less consistent days.

    However...

Morrison isn't better than Brewster. A tough belt holder who had a very good run of success before his reckless style caught up with him.

-Sanders is about the level of Morrison, inconsistent but dangerous. Though his long arms, sneaky traps, and southpaw style made him a more troubling match up for Wlad.

-Purrity is a tough gate keeper but he did draw with The Duke in one of his first pro fights. Had that one gone 12, I think Morrison would have been stopped like Wlad.

Here's the considerable class gap between Wlad and Morrison..

Wlad is 8-0 against top 10 fighters, 3-0 against top 5. He has 9 belt defenses to his credit, with only Ali, Holmes, and Louis having more.

Morrison is 1-2 against top 10 fighters, 0-0 against top 5. No titles or defenses to his credit. And his failed break out year of 94 was just as bleak as the current division with the vunerable Moorer, Bruno, and Foreman on top while Holyfield retired, Bowe fell out of the title scene,Tyson was sent to prison, and Lewis was still rebuildingn.

No, Foreman/Schulz was a farce that killed any cred Big George got for decking Moorer's dumbass. The fix was in and Schulz still almost won.

    - In 2000, at former IBF president

testified that he agreed to pay $200,000 for the IBF to grant a special exemption to approve a title fight between Foreman and the unranked Schulz. $100,000 would be paid before the fight, and the other $100,000 would be paid after the fight. Arum said that he made the pre-fight payment but refused to make the post-fight payment after learning that Foreman had paid $250,000 to another IBF official. According to prosecutors, after Foreman won by a controversial decision, promoter

paid the IBF to mandate a rematch. Foreman refused the rematch and vacated the IBF title.

    actually scratch my last post.

the food and the suppliments we got now differ from what they had back then.

im sure if foreman was in his prime living in this era he would prolly be 270 of raw muscle.
