How long would Dirrell have to be sidelined for you to admit it's legit

Andre Dirrell has not fought in over 6 months. Many of you, doubting his condition, expect him to be back in the ring within a few months.

What if he's not? What if, as an example, Dirrell does not fight in 2011. Will you continue to claim that this is all bull**** and that he's a coward? The millions he could have earned in the meantime weren't enough to get him in the ring with Andre Ward. Or will you return to these threads and admit your ignorance.

Obviously, so many of you have insight to his character, finances, and medical records, so i'd really like to know what you think. If Dirrell were to never fight again, I would still expect at a minimum 50% of you to continue to claim he's a coward and that he'd rather retire than fight an old pal.

neurological damage is some serious ****.

i dont give a **** what title is on the line id wanna use my brain when i retire.

a doctor doing an MRI and saying something aint right. those orders aint nothin to play with expecially being a boxer.

I would take a ****in year off if the doctor told me to do so.

if he's back in 12 months, that'd be 18 months off from boxing. And you think he would have purposely chosen an 18 month unpaid vacation because why exactly?

Nah it don't work like that he's sick from the moment he said he was sick.

U don't go infront of a world wide audience in jun say "oh I feel great, nothing is wrong with me" wait till OCt and then backtrack ur bull**** headache story.

Some of you people don't make sense. A few points:

    1) Dirrell, his team and Gary Shaw all stand to lose a ton of money because of this. It's not like he's leaving the tournament to set up a bigger fight. He had them already!

    2) That was monster shot he took. He was unconscious, twitching and then proceeded to babble incoherently for minutes after the fight.

Note that this behavior is what forced an ambulance to be called when Jermain Taylor was KOd by Abraham. And they wouldn't let him get on an airplane for a few days, and they forced him to take time off.

    3) Showtime certainly has done its due diligence. They'll have access to those brain scans and if they don't believe them, can force Dirrell to get a second opinion with a doctor of their choosing.

Why because he probably wouldn't qualify for further stages in super six.
This way he's a free agent waiting to fight the possible winner or even Kessler...

Showtime should tell him he cant fight until after the super six is over. If he does take his purse and sue his ass. Just to make sure its legit and hey if its that serious i dont see why he would be fighting risking brain damage.

If he spends the whole of 2011 out of the ring, it's safe to say something was wrong with him.

But if I see him giving a post-fight interview with Larry ****ing Merchant in 4 months, I'm going to pissed.

Notice they said the doctor said 3 months (what kind of doctor is that?).

So in 3 months, he will be "all clear".
