That's what I'm saying. Not that Wlad would beat every past Heavyweight, but he wouldn't be a walkover for anyone due to his size, power, speed & technique. Ali, Lewis & Louis are probably the best "Anti-Wladimir" past greats. All have good power, aggression & technique themselves and that combination is what it would take to beat the current version of Wlad.

yes and we have to think about conditions.

220 was very big back then.

if we lived in that era we would probably be a little smaller than we are now.

in this era theres better food, suppliments, nutrients, work out facilities.

    they also wore lighter gloves.

so even though in foremans prime he was smaller than wlad and vitali.

we still gotta be fair and think of foreman as the bigman.

otherwise we might as well say that our era would dominate every era.

we have to consider the what if factor to make it fair and realistic.

you know george foreman wouldnt be just 220 lbs in this era.

we all know wlad and vitali would weigh as much as they do in the 70s era.

muhammad ali is another example. early in his career he wasnt even 200.
    same for floyd patterson.

i made a thread earlier putting a what if

    prime tua vs prime frazier.

frazier being the same height as tua but still significantly smaller than tua.

at first i had that as a toss up but now come to think of it. frazier would get raped (using your theory saying "we must live in reality, not to think about-if").

frazier would be around 230 in this era.

so a prime tua vs a prime frazier is a toss up still.

So you're saying that Ruddock & Wladimir are equal? I disagree.............

Sure Razor could land his patented "smash" but it's not likely, not against the current version that keeps his opponents out on the end of his jab.

I watched these fights when they happened back in the day. I know what I'm talking about more than most of these Johnny Come Lately guys who only watch the Youtube highlights................

You're right though, the more bias posters tend to rate their guy's best version against the worst version of Wladimir.

Axel Schultz was robbed! He beat Foreman easily, it wasn't even close.

That being said I think the older, 2nd Foreman would be beaten to a pulp by Wladimir. The younger version would have a better chance due to the aggressive style he fought & that fight would be a 50-50% against today's version of Wladimir.

The OP put out a decent list here. As mentioned earlier he rates Ibeabuchi highly and a lot of people do. I wonder how different the division would be today if Ibeabuchi would have been around.

But if Foreman living in this era weighed 265-270 today how good would he be? Would he be slow as ****? Not being able to get his punches off before he was landed on.

    Ibeabuchi is a beast man.

ive seen how he did byrd.

but even though tua lost the fight against ibeabuchi.

tuas hits kinda put a toll on him making ibeabuchi see demons and **** after that fight.

but yea ibeabuchi in my mind is like the perfect heavyweight.

perfect height, perfect shape, great workrate, good power.

physically he is the perfect heavyweight in my mind (PHYSICALLY NOT SKILLWISE).

Young Foreman would not be bigger than Lewis, Wlad, and Vitali today. At best, he would be coming in at 230. He has nothing to gain by adding that much bulk, he was already slow with stamina problems, turning into Shannon Briggs would only make that worse.

He would be muscle but what I mean is how much would the additional 50 pounds from what he weighted in his era slow him down. Would it slow him down to the point where he wouldn't be as effective as he was?

I really don't think Foreman ever suffer hunger? So he should be more or less the same size as now. This is the excuse most remarkable thing I've heard. Next, I suppose.
