This rumour about Monzon dropping Frasier stemmed from a short sound byte in a documentary and was stated by Antuofermo. One of our boardmembers... I don't remember which one, had the chance to speak to and ask Antuofermo about it and he said himself that it was something he had heard from someone in his team but had not actually witnessed it personally. I would lean towards it not having happened, but who knows...

An aging 35 year old Trevor Berbick was schooling Tyson in sparing for the Douglas fight.

At the time I bet readers chuckled at the notion of Douglas upsetting Tyson at all, let alone knocking him out early, in reality Douglas had to practically punch Tyson into the canvas for 10 rounds, subjecting him to a sustained & hellacious beating before he eventually dropped; James "Buster" Douglas had shocked the world.

Wow! What strikes me is how technically skilled Jones is here, and shows it off against a very good opponent. He looks like a true, slick technician in there. No real unorthodoxy showing.

Did you come down to Palm Beach to work with Tua? I was in the gym during alot of his sessions. How about Lewis, were you with Butler and Harris working in?

I think AlFrancis was going to ask Frazier or Antuofermo,if joe sparred Monzon, at a boxing do in Wales over the summer. Whatever happened, it didnt come to fruition due to one or the other not showing up therefore saving Al from a potentially awkward moment. I wouldnt have fancied asking either:D. I personally think its bollox

Sparred David back at his home in NZ. Got to go with Chauncy Welliver too on that trip.
And I sparred Lennox more as a return for our amateur match than anything else. One time thing, never went into camp with him. Thank God for my brain.
