Ahh that's how it works is it.. People say they were justified in not selecting him because he didn't perform good enough and all of a sudden it's bigotry and racism

Not by team GB. Some internet posters are pretty abusive and don't like the fact he's fighting for Pakistan.

Again, just because you don't like the Khans doesn't make you a bigot. I know that's hard for some of you to wrap your heads around but its true. Not liking someone does not equal a dislike for their whole race.

I don't think anyone's claiming that. There's nothing wrong with not supporting either of the Khan brothers, and I don't think anyone is saying the reason Harron wasn't selected for team England is is racism.

The racism IS there though, it's plain to see and you can't deny it. You look on internet forums, you look at the comments on youtube, you speak to people at work, etc, etc ,etc, there will always be people who attack him because of his race. That's what the OP was getting at.

It was crushing blow for those that were willing Khan to lose so they could triumphantly gloat that he wasnt good enough to be picked etc etc - and there were many people like that.

I have no problem with him not being picked for the British team - plenty of expert opinion say that he was behind the pecking order. But, it is the bigots and begrudgers who abused Khan for fighting for Pakistan who are a disgrace. Khan has every right to fight for Pakistan if he chooses.

    Good luck to him.:bbb

The rules are there for everyone Im sure the selectors are there to pick the strongest team good luck to the lad I take my hat off to anyone who climbs into the ring but it smells a bit that he can all of a sudden become Pakistani your either english or your not,Im sure theres loads of kids would of loved to have a second chance of being picked for the games by checking out were their gran was born and switching countries . Does that make me a bigot

Sorry but I have not read anything bigotry against him on here. The fact that he was never good enough to fight for team GB then acted a twat was noted by many posters. Most posters are glad for him to have success with Pakistan.

Well done to him, but wasn't the scoring a 3-3 draw, hardly hugely convincing.

As far as I'm aware, I could be wrong, he was beaten in the quarter finals of the ABA championships, before this tournament. Why would that get him picked? He was also ranked 9th before that I think.
