This is a kick in the teeth for all the racists who were hoping to rub thier hands with glee if Khan had failed to get a medal, He has proved all his critics wrong and left the English team looking very ordinary and red faced. Khan will make a much better professional than amatuer, He is defo a brawler not a boxer. Was a good win tbf to the lad, I thought Selby would edge the fight as I said the other day and werent far off! Yafai winning Silver in the Euro's along with his olympic experience made him a shoe-in for the spot tehn got injured, until now Haroon has struggled to make the jump from his terrific form in juniors to seniors. Basically he's over-achieved here, dont mean that in a derogatory way its impressive and good luck to him. Needs to gain confidence from this now and push on to really give selection headaches if he stays in the ams

he was beaten in the 1st round of the aba's by blinkhorn from bolton. before people start saying he should box off with kal yafai, maybe he should prove himself against Gamal yafai 1st, or the smith twins from liverpool. plus when the GB squad was selected paul butler and jazza dickens were still amatuer, so there was no chance khan was gona get on the develoment squad... never mind the podium, and without being on either of these he wouldnt of been up for selction for the commonwealth games
He did well there, tight enough fight, I thought Selby had won it though Haroon got the countback. Fair play though he did well to get this far and he'll definitely come home with a medal for Pakistan.
Yafai is simply better then him, I don't see why people bother arguing about it. its not racism he simply wasn't good enough, that's pretty obvious and as fair as possible.
