How much did Ward make fighting Gatti?

Does anybody know how much Ward was paid for each of his fights against Gatti? Thanks in advance.

At the beginning of the 3rd fight, one of the announcers said that because of all out style, despite having 12 losses, he has become wealthy.

 

Yup, that had been his career goal and he achieved it in the last fight.

 

It shows Ward as being pretty dim when it comes to business , asking for 1 million , when there was more available , Gatti got a lot more .

 

Is "The Fighter" ever going to come out? Mark Wahlburg plays Ward and Christian Bale plays his brother Dick Ecklund.

 

In December. But the movie doesnt include the Gatti fights! It ends prior to that point in his career. D'OH!

i can't wait and yup, he made about 1.2 million for the third gatti fight. gatti made more cause he was an hbo celebrity, not cause ward was dumb

dont think he made as much for the first obviously

Both he and Gatti made a mil for the secnd fight. The guys over on ESPN made a big deal about that stating that it was about time those two warriors got paid what they deserved.. and by the third fight both guys were making something over a mil. Not sure what they made for the first fight.
