Haroon Khan: "Winning a medal not as important as beating a Brit"

A story like this certainly isn't the way of going about your career, "haha Britain I beat your guy and won a medal"...

 

Haroon looked good today , can he ever fight for the British title now he has represented Pakistan?

 

It doesn't matter if he wins a gold. It doesn't change the fact that he didn't get picked for the commenwealth games because he was on a level below other competitors. I thought Buncey put this to bed the other night?

Some people seem unable to grasp the fact they picked a guy was more accomplished than Haroon and then he had to pull out injured, by which point he was fighting for Pakistan.

Besides, its the ****ing Commonwealth games, England SHOULD have at least 2 fighters capable of medalling in each division. A lot of the nations we're up against don't have much of a heritage in this sport, and presumably nothing of the same facilities and coaching so I'm not that surprised he's gone and won a medal.

Yep and he is a European Bronze medalist so he is no bum.

 

Yes Selby the Welshman beat the English replacement, And Khan beat Selby.

So Khan gets a medal, Selby and the English replacement go home empty handed.
