McBride v Tyson. Tyson could have got away with shooting McBride. And glove biting?

Watched that fight again. Tyson landed good bombs on McBride but McBride was too strong for Mike that night.

He tried to break his opponent's arm a few times and nibbled on his nipple.

He was also biting his own gloves.

Bizarre fight.

 

Oh, and I forgot to say, no crying and bleeding vaginas in this thread.

We are talking about Mike against McBride.

Just boxing. Not soap opera.

 

Mike was in there for cash, biting the gloves was a technique he used to will himself to fight, but he did not really want to be there.

 

Mike was well finished by that fight.....

He was fighting. He won rounds. People gave him a good chance to win.

He was in with a low class opponent because he was not good enough to hang with the elite at that point.

Not much to say, McBride won, Tyson was cheating like ****, Tyson would have absolutely obliterated him in his day. everyone pretty much agrees on this

as an Irishman I'm not ahsamed to say McBride is an embarrassment... maybe that's harsh, but that's how I feel, especially when the commentators called him "the best heavyweight in Ireland", ffs I know amateur heavyweights in the local club ten times better than he ever was.

 

Tyson was already a shot-to-**** zombie more suited for a role in "Night of the Living Dead" back in '01 against Nielsen, then a year later he turned up in terrible shape again to face Lewis & be a human heavy bag for 8 rounds, taking monstrous bombs throughout. Williams & McBride faced a grotesque corpse of a once great fighter, with more holes in him than Swiss cheese.

 

What does that have to do with his fight? In real life....

Did you guys think he was in his Prime against McBride?

People said he would win in 1 round.

 

Mike was heavy into alcohol and yayo at that time in his life...Tyson any time before 2002 would have sparked McBride within 5 rounds
