His 'dream' seemed to be to beat a British fighter rather than win the Commonwealth games :p

is that why he tried to qualify for a British team FIRST?

To prove that he was worthy of a place on the team, you are deliberately taking those comments out of context.

Am I? I copied what he said, the implication is clear.

He wouldn't be saying it if he won the world amateur champs, the olympics or probably even the Euros would he?

The Commonwealths are a crock of ****. Course beating Selby was more important just as winning the ABA's is a tougher task.

Was listening to Mike Costello on 5 live this afternoon (well I think it was him, sounded like him, presumed it was him as he does most of the BBC stuff, apologies if it wasn't) and he was pretty much saying team GB were right not to pick Haroon and this is draw/win is neither here nor there in regards to him not getting selected.

Sad how it is automatically put down to racism etc when he wasn't good enough in the first place and hadn't been performing when it mattered. Stuff like this is part the reason Britain is in the **** state is it in now

I've not been aware of any bigotry on this forum. There were a few idiots who objected his decision to fight for Pakistan, but the majority of the posters simply said "fair play".
