Lewis is a lot harder style wise for Tubbs to befuddle, like he did in parts with Bowe. I am sure, like he did at the time in many fights, Lewis would look clumsy and amateurish for parts of the fight. But I suspect his jab would be difference, and even if Tubbs went the distance, unlike the Bowe fight, there would be no doubt who deserved the win.
I think Tony could do just enough, JUST enough to edge Lennox, but they would probably give the decision to Lennox anyway.
Tubbs might be a very tricky opponent for any version of Lennox Lewis, nevermind an early version. It's quite likely to go the distance, and it would be close either way. Lewis has the power to win by KO or TKO, I certainly wouldn't expect him to but it's a possibility. I say it's a pick 'em over 10 rounds in 1991.
I love Tubbs and he was super slick but I would still say Lewis beats him.. Lennox had a better jab and right cross then Bowe, so he may even knock Tubbs out.. Plus Bowe was being out worked by Tubbs also, we all know Bowe sometimes fights lazy, I think Lewis would fight hard enough to win a close dec...
Lennox KO 1 Glass-jaw. look at Tubbs VS Tyson - he cannt take a big Haymaker And Lennox hits way harder then Tyson
@Foreman Hook Lennox hits way harder than Tyson? HAHAHAHAhAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAhAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA :yep:happy
When have we ever seen Lewis beat a guy with the movement and boxing skills of Tubbs? He would give the green lewis of 91 loads of problems. Thats why Lewis ducked him when he had a chance to fight him.
Tyson hits harder than Lewis Tyson made Berbick and Tubbs do chicken dances. And when Tyson KOd Tubbs, it was a small sharp, sweet, left hook, not a hayemaker. I think your mistaken him for that guy in your avatar.
Tubbs has too much skills for Lewis at this point, so I would say Tony takes a UD in something like 6-3-1 over Lennox.
