Should Lewis' missed punch that cut Vitali's eye have been ruled an accidental foul?

The replay clearly show that the punch that cut Vitali's eye, and caused the fight to be stopped, completely missed his face and it was the inside laces/tape/wrist of the glove that cut him. You really don't even need a replay to determine this when the cut above Vitali's eye and below it on the cheek were the exact size of Lennox's wrist. Why was the fight not taken to the score cards like when an accidental head-butt causes a cut that stops a fight? How was this any different? Are the wrists of a glove an under-utilized weapon a crafty opponent can use to cut someone's face when accuracy fails? Discuss

It's already been proved Lennox had glass in his dreadlocks thats what caused the cut :good

 

If that was the case (I can't remember), it would have been pretty difficult for the ref to have spotted it, unless he had a perfect view.

There was in fact a meeting of the head before we saw the cut. Lewis forehead and dreadlocks cane into contact with Vitali's eye region.

those who have watched 1,000's of boxing matches know the worst cuts are caused by head buts, not cleanly landed punches.
