I'd see him as being a Tomasz Adamek type character, good solid pro but just too small to mix it with the dreadnoughts of todays current HW scene

If Jack Dempsey were around today that would mean that he would also benefit from modern day training methods and maybe his style would be modified somewhat by modern day techniques as well? All this needs to be taken into the equation whatever your verdict on Dempsey would be. Dempsey gets the benefit of a doubt based on the criteria that he's being brought into "today's" picture.

He'd lose clear decisions to Audley Harrison type characters.

If its true he weighed 172 against Willard and had weights in his pocket to weigh more he'd likely be tempted to stay at 175lbs for his early career

Given the fact that someone like Adamek is doing relatively well. Someone who has clear physical dissadvantages compared to Dempsey, who also has all of the modern training methods, nutrition and hindsight that demspey lacked fighting within his own era, i think he would do excellent.

Who are these world beaters that you would put money on beating him exactly? i don't see many.

He is also an awful style match up for all of the top heavy's, all two of them that is.

Audley harrison is not going to beat Dempsey throwing five punches a round.

He would very likely clam up and get knocked out.

Who is that in your avatar btw:think?

Yes they don't really have anyone of the quality of Meehan, Miske and Flynn today
