Felix Sturm, was koed by the world beater Javier Castillejo.Javier Castillejo was koed 3 times and he has like 9 losses against mostly bums. The Ko is on the Tube I can easily upload it. This guy Felix Sturm couldn't carry Hopkins jockstrap.

J Castillejo, who was a good former LMW champ who holds a victory over R Karmazin. Still Sturm won the return and lets remember Hopkins couldnt beat the lesser fighter Mercado first time round, being dropped twice, and lost to Taylor twice who wasnt as good a MW champ as Sturm

So you can't count Trinidad? What about the fact the Trinidad himself would've beat the **** out of Sturm. And since we already know what Hopkins did to Trinidad, that leaves little to argue about.
Not to mention that it wasn't a prime Hopkins that lost to any of those guys you mentioned, and not to mention that Sturm couldn't have gone five rounds with any of them in order to lose a decision.
Prime Hopkins renders Sturm unconscious pretty much whenever he chooses to.

Sturm has a fantastic fast strong jab, and look what Wright did with his jab to Trinidad.
I know styles make fights etc but look how Sturm was handling De La Hoya, and Oscar looked unlucky against Trinidad.
So please dont get to carried away

Who cares what Sturm did against DLH, you said we can't count the smaller guys. Besides that, you mentioned Winky Wright, yet another guy that would barely have to break a sweat to beat Sturm.

Simon whos reign win consisted of maybe a best win over Krajanc or Cherifi maybe
Vargas who best reign win consisted of maybe Wright or Quartey who was coming up in weight
P Williams whos best win is possibly Margarito who has a cloud over his career
Mosely whos win resume consists of one alledgedly honest win over Oscar, P Holiday and Margarito with the cloud over his career

When Sturm has made in 2 reigns has made around 9 defences and has wins over Schenk, Sylvester the current IBF champ, Castellijo the 2 weight champ, Looked unlucky against Oscar seeming to hurt him more than anyone else at that time, plus other world rated MWs.

Just because some names arent as recognised, dont be fooled

Wait, you said don't count smaller guys, so Castillejo is out for Sturm. Which is a good thing I guess, since he lost to that clown too.

Sturm would've taken a man-sized beating if he'd ever fought Hopkins. Nothing you can say is going to change anyone's mind about it.

    Hopkins = ATG
Sturm = pretty good in his day

I didnt say you couldnt count Oscar or Tito, read what you highlighted, it says if you look at the natural MWs he fought, so that means not Oscar or Tito.
But fair comment Castillejo is out if you like, but still Sturm has a good resume and Castillejo was only 1 division lower not 2, but still then if I follow what you say about removing those fighters who were originally smaller world champs it makes your quote even more sided with Sturm as on Hopkins record he beat Oscar a former SFW champ, Tito a former WW champ, J D Jackson former LMW, S Brown a former WW champ, C Daniels a former LMW champ. Making Sturms record against natural MWs seem a very more interesting debate.

This dosent detract from Hopkins career overall but puts forward some interesting points

Simon's reign was cut short due to being imprisoned so it's not surprising he didn't exactly have an amazing resume but his win over a prime Wright says a lot about his ability.

If Vargas is so overrated then how come he so easily beat Castillejo a boxer who has KO'ed Sturm?

You say Paul Williams win is overrated because Margarito has a cloud over his career. So you belittle Williams for beating a world class boxer with bricks for gloves. What kind of twisted logic is that, if anything this raises the worth of Williams win as he beat a fighter who had a clear unfair advantage.

If anyone is being fooled it's you.
