If you've been munching on the Big Macs during your time out, then I'd suggest around 8 weeks. You'd be surprised at how fast time passes by when you've got a fight coming up. You start to hope that tomorrow never comes.

because a good coach would be organized enough to let his fighters know way before hand of an upcoming fight, especially half an hour:-(

Shouldn't take you any time at all if you're on weight and consistently training. Maybe a week or two if you've been sparring hard or running a lot.

But if you need to drop weight or if it's a tournament/series of fights, give yourself more time. At least a month. Nothing like killing yourself to make weight (and tapering off your running and sparring) only to have your fight postponed at the last minute to the next week...don't ask me how I know that. I just know. :!:

But if you're in fighting shape and have been regularly sparring and training, you should be able to take a fight on a day's notice. Because you really will have opportunities like that.

I have found that black people with blonde hair tend to metamorphisise slighter faster then ginger males. Why is this?

Because black people have soul, whereas gingers do not have souls. Obviously.

    This.

Also, you can be ready to fight all season but you can't be at your best all season. To be at your best you need time to prepare yourself mentally and physically. A few days, or in your case half hour, is nowhere near enough time for either.

It's not enough time for anybody. You don't think if you went against a decent opponent that had months to prepare over your 30 minutes he would have the edge on you? Like I said you can fight, and maybe you'll win, but you can't be at your best all season. Why do you think fighters train months before a fight then taper off their training?

You could have been better prepared with more time or do you not agree with that?
