Bowe either beats up Baer to a stoppage in an all-time brawl or gets knocked out. I'm not so sure on Bowe's ability to take it from a great puncher.

    IDk.

Bowe was never stopped in 45 fights, only Holyfield and Golota put him down.

Baer was only stopped 3 times in 81 fights but not until after his time as HW World Champ was over. Only Joe Louis (LKOby4) and Lou Nova (LKOby11 and LKOby in the 8th) stopped him.

Bowe would outweigh Baer by about 25-30 Lbs. but their height and reach would be somewhat close. Baer is listed at 6'2 1/2" on BoxRec but he looked taller. He stood up very straight and fought tall. He looked considerably taller than Braddock and Louis (who were both 6'2") and Schmeling (who was 6'1"). Baer's reach was a very long 81".

Bowe was more technical and just as durable IMO. They both were strong and punched hard.

Bowe by decision is the logical choice IMO, but I could also see Bowe stopping him late. Bowe was good at leaning on guys and wearing them out. He was rough on the inside (as was Baer) and even better on the outside.

I have never seen anything from Baer that leads me to believe he has a serious chance ... Max was not Lennox Lewis .. I see Bowe crushing him in four or five rounds ..

Bowe, and its not particularly hard to call.

Way, way more tools, more strength, and the chin and power to get it done.

Bowe isn't Joe Louis, but he would be able to put devastating combinations on Baer in the trenches, close, where Max was less effective. He'd have the jab to dominate at distance, as well.

baer. he has the beter punch, chin and beter defence. max is not conceding power or strength here just excess weight. At his peak bowe was only 225 against seldon. Both fighters at their best could go to sleep and be lazy but if both were up for it I go for max, just too much quality. maybe bowe could outbox max for a time but riddick was only 2-1 in fights over the distance and they were not cakewalks. max could be outboxed for sure, but for a puncher, over the distance he won more by decision than he lost. The way bowe crumbled against lewis in the olympics, how holyfeild had him down and out on his feet along with the fragility in the golota debacles does not bode well against max. how many explosive punchers did bowe beat? bowe did not hit any harder than galento and schmeling.
