    I take it back. There's a small piece in todays Daily Mirror confirming the fight. For what it's worth. . . . . . . . . .

Looks like Fwank has lost patience with Smith because he wouldn't be risking Degale against 1 of his own unless he was sure to win.

I guess he just realises Smith is never achieving anything more than he already has, so he may aswell feed to him Degale

I now know why you put the question marks because I cant believe it too. Paul will eat him and in the city as well cant wait.

Still wont believe it till I hear it from paul smiths kipper

Really good fight if this comes off, but won't hold me breath! Be interesting to see what other big fights get made tomorrow. Does anybody know the official time of the press conference?

I still don't think it'll happen. Would absolutely love it to, but Smith has a vacant Euro belt to target and that leaves DeGale a vacant British. Makes far more sense for both and for Warren.

Still think Degale is WAY too green for this. He might come through but still take a big hit to his confidence. What if it's tight? Rematch? It could get him stuck at Brit level.

Admirable step up if true but moving them too fast can be as damaging as moving them too slow.

This will be a good test for DeGale at this stage of his career
As he always says, "it's about levels" and this fight will show what level he is at right now
