Is there a rehydration clause for the Margarito fight?

I was reading Viveks article on the front page and he mentioned there had been a rehydration clause with DLH and Cotto which i had heard of but nothing solid really. Then he mentioned that more than likely there would be a clause again for MArgarito.

Has this **** actually been happening in his fights? Also has anyone heard that it will happen with Margarito?

Any real sources that state this? I know Roger just recently brought it up.

 

Why the **** would Oscar have agreed to something like that? He dictated every aspect of that fight. And why wouldn't it have ever been mentioned?

 

It is called the Echo Chamber effect.

One guy will say (without proof). Another guy will say the other guy said it which itself is now confirmation, thus proof. And another guy will say 2 guys said it before. And on and on and on.

Vivek is an idiot. He has blatantly passed that line without one word of proof. The supposed boxing expert should know better that no re-hydration clause would be medically insane. Ask him one, just one form of evidence.

Notice how Vivek was VERY active in the thread of that article at the beginning yet went asked for proof about the re-hydration clause he would not respond. He eventually did but to say he wont respond anymore?

WTF!!!!???


Not to mention he is a terrible writer. Apperantly, he heard that using a thesaurus equals good writing. You don't need coherent structure, proper grammar, more hyperbole and run on sentences.

huh, i caught that too. I really doubted it at first, but if it were true and there are legit sources, shouldn't something like this have blown up by now? I wonder who Viviek's sources are...

 

Roger Mayweather also pointed out the Pac rehydration clauses in his recent interview.

"crackhead" this, "wifebeater" that, Roger is still highly respected in the fight game and knows his ****.

 

so DLH was the cash cow and gave pac 20 or 30 % cut...

Now pac had the nerve to put oscar on rehydration clause?

See thats the thing. Oscar usually dictates everything but he was desperate for a Mega fight and Pac was the best available option so he kinda had to give in like having to drop to 147. So he didnt dictate all the terms obviously.

It makes sense also in the Cotto fight. Specially come fight time Pac looked bigger than Cotto which i thought was weird.

 

Rehydration clauses are the worst thing in boxing, forget catchweights, this is the real issue.

 

Well this is something that obviously would have to be kept under the blankets. It could ruin a legacy so im sure any proof of it is probably impossible to get. But word of mouth can always get out.
And you know what they say about rumors. They start with a fraction of the truth...

 

How should I know. The difference is I don't assume and pass fancy myself as some boxing scribe/expert.

All I know is that ODLH and Nacho repeated several times in 24/7 and outside interviews that they where working to make Oscar "lighter and faster" - that was imperative to them. So him cutting weight is no surprise to me.

 

DLH didn't lose the weight correctly. He obviously stripped his weight down entirely too much for the fight, but the thought of the sport's cash cow letting his rehydration weight be limited is laughable.

Again with these stupid rehydration clause rumors. I want some ****ing proof that these exist.

 

Same here. Guys is impossible to stand but he knows his boxing better than any trainer i can think of.

 

There's never been one shred of evidence of any rehydration clauses... it's just typical, immature, undereducated, overly ignorant, stupid posters forming their own conclusions bases on NOTHING.... much like the PED issues...

 

Me too. but like i said its probably a handfull of people that actually saw documents with that and im sure as hell they would never go on record and say it. But maybe mention it to someone they know and so forth.
