Khan is the most protected and coddled fighter in the World today Maidana had to call the WBA to force Khan to even fight him. Khan is scared. With a Glass Jaw like that I would be also.

He stopped Malignaggi, something Cotto failed to do. I guess that means Cotto had less than mediocre power at 140, right?

 

In fairness Rico, the ref stopped the Malignaggi fight, and Paulie had been in a couple of wars more by that time.

 

Paulie was in no danger in that fight of getting KOed. None.

 

Im pretty sure your gonnar see Maidana get cut in half by round six he's gonnar get schooled... :deal Im not a massive fan of Khan but he's got maidanas number thats for sure..

 

He looked pretty beat up by then end of it... FACT

 

I have to disagree with you on this one because he beat the **** out of Pauli to a stoppage. He is not a power puncher but can stop a guy like Maidana on accumulation

 

The ref may have stepped in, but it was a good stoppage unlike the Hatton one. Paulie himself had no complaints about it, and you could see this in his body language. Towards the latter part of that fight Khan was sapping the life out of him, and he wasn't doing it by rushing or over-powering him, instead it was with his boxing and clean punches. An average puncher wouldn't be able to do this. The manner in which he stopped him was impressive.

Also, other than the Cotto fight (and possibly Hatton), what gruelling wars had Paulie been in? Paulie being shot/past his best is a weak excuse people have come up with in response to Khan doing what many didn't give him a hope of, and that's getting the stoppage win.

 

- That's the way I see this playing out - 60%. Maidana just no longer able to react the barrage of punches, and becoming passive.

- But, Khan being Khan and his weak chin, there is a chance he becomes stupid and Maidana sends him right through the canvas - 40% chance.

- But Khan is exciting too watch - from every angle. Weak Chin + fast hands, very athletic, I think he has power, a good brain on his shoulders and absolutely hated by a lot of people.

- His great.
