I see your point, but the problem with that is the fact that Clottey gave Cotto all he could handle and IMHO beat Cotto. Again, Arum working with crap commissions, ended up with the most profitable outcome.

Seriously man? I am a FMJ fan, but not a person who just makes up random lies to slander Pac with. Me thinking the fight is fixed and Pac is on PEDs is 100% speculation. It isn't a fact and I wouldn't present it as such. Clottey getting a 1.5 million dollar bonus from Jerry Jones is a fact and matter of public record. I am nothing like a *******.

    Douglas-Tyson was FIXED.
    Hagler-Hearns was FIXED.
    Pacquiao-Cotto was FIZED.

In fact, every fight that has taken place was fixed! Now I get it....

it says the cowboys owner gave him the bonus and not Arum.... its kinda streching it to suggest that there is some sort of fix under these circumstances.

you have the right to think in your mind Clottey won against Cotto I had it a close fight with a knock down scored by Cotto which on my card got the win for Miguel..... but none of that spells out fixed fight...

Wow. Have you ever heard of plausible deniability or creating a firewall? Why or how could Arum just throw him the extra after the fight? It still makes no sense.

That was a close disputable fight. The problem is that these machinations always work out to put Arum in the position to earn more with the more "marketable" fighter and/or avoid uncomfortable situations. If you get enough "fortuitous" events in a row eventually you say wait a minute. What is the common denominator here? Arum's power and influence. Arum has shown numerous times that he is willing to manipulate the boxing world to get his way.

Clottey, even at his height of competitiveness NEVER sold a fight and NEVER could carry a card alone. They all knew it. Clottey took the path of least resistance.

Right on man. It is just speculation. I have no evidence, other than circumstantial, of a duck.

We will know better with Margo. Especially if Margo is not stopped AND doesn't have a decent punch output. Unlike Clottey, there is no "reasonable" stylistic excuse.

Sure he (and you) can say it was the layoff, but that brings us back to matchmaking. Is Pac fighting the best or the "best for him"? :think

This post here makes the most sense, and I think we can likely assume something is up if Margarito ends up lossing to pac and suddenly getting a bonus for lossing then if anything we have a trend to follow.

The weight drained trend has worked so far for Manny, and honestly I had given him a pass in the Cotto fight because I felt Miguel would carry the weight fine and it appeared that he did... But when you look at the entire picture, Cotto, DLH and having Hatton come down from 147 you start to see a trend.

in the end I honestly beleive that Margarito is not the type to take cash and play along, he has waited his entire career for this moment, this win could mean big things for him because he does have a fan base in Mexico and So Cal.... a win here could mean big things for him and I am sure he is well aware of that....

What these little kid dumb****s do not get is, fixing a fight and cleaning any and all trails is would be VERY difficult to do. After all, if the losing fighter grets angry with what he thinks he should have gotten, what's to stop him from talking?

And as I brought up in another thread, fixing a fight of that magnitude would bring SERIOUS legal ramification on the guilty parties.
Remember Ray Mercer and his "fixed" fight? It was presented in from of the supreme court I think, and the reason, all the money involved.

Ad yet these non-educated rats think ALL these fights were so easily fixed they THEY, not some governing body, are the ones to piece it together? This is why I left the board for a long time....too many stupid, childish, and stubbord little ****s...

They gave Diaz extra as well!

One thing to back your fighter before the fight, and another thing to malign him after the fight. Clottey WAR to Clottey FIX seems extreme.

I remember in one of the threads before the fight that I stated that Clottey is a sitting duck because he has a very peculiar habit - he almost never throws a punch mid-exchange. Simply if you overwhelm him with punches, he covers up until you stop throwing then he will throw. You should know this but since you are so infatuated, you can not even dissect a fighter properly.

You however believed that Clottey will win by KO. You sucked in your analysis as usual so the next recourse is to blame it to a "fixed" fight! Genius. Honestly stupid and idiotic.

I get firery at times talking to some of the more ignorant Pac fans, but I am not really a hard liner. We are just watching trending. I speculate on what I think the data means, but hey, none of this is an exact science.

I hope the same for Marg. I want Marg to throw a bazillion punches and make the fight brutal. The problem is that even the best version of Margo was an accumulation puncher without a lot of pop, a porus defense, came straight for you without angles, and gave up his height (his biggest advantage). He matches the rest of these guys on the way up.

I like Margo and want to see Margo back because I want to see him face Mayweather. That is why this fight doesn't sit right for me. It screws Margo.
