Is there a rehydration clause for the Margarito fight?

either some people are so desperate to discredit Pac that every accusation is hurled at him in hopes that something, anything will stick or...

Pac is an over hyped cheat who uses PEDS, asks for catchweights with rehydration clauses and fixes fights. He's just that horrible.

Oscar is/was the king of boxing. A proven cash cow and owner of the 2nd biggest promotion company.

Pac was not even in the same league in terms of power and leverage as Oscar was at that time.

It wouldn't surprise me to learn that Oscar is the source of the rehydration clause rumors. He has an incentive to provide an alternate story to explain the obvious cheating on the scales.

As above, the IBF are the only people who really seem to enforce rehydration limits. Explain why someone fighting in the 168lb division, for example, not being allowed to come to the ring weighing over 178lbs is the 'worst thing in boxing'. That would seem eminently sensible, both from a medical and boxing point of view.

 

I don't remember there was a post -weighin weight for the Cotto fight.

Furthermore, Hoya was part of the accusers of Pac when it comes to the PEDS issue and he is mum about the issue? If there is such clause, would the fish-net Hoya be blurting it out already?

And why all of the sudden Roger Mayweather, who is never a privy to the details of the fight contracts be the bastion of integrity?

There is no rehydration clause for the Margarito fight, nor was there one for the Cotto fight. Or the Hatton one. Or the Dela Hoya one. Only if your second name is Mayweather or you're a Floyd cum guzzler, are these fantasy rehydration limits true.

I know the IBF deems you can't be more than 10% off your weight class limit within a certain amount of time, but I've never heard of a rehydration limit.
Can you pull it off the IBF site? My Chrome is being tarded.

You guys are really in the dark... I've known about the re-hydration clauses for quite a few months now... Why do you think in his last four or so fights, Pacquiao and his opponents never have their fight night weights revealed? Team Pacquaio drains them and then keeps them drained. That is at least five times more "coward" (a term people on this site are more than familiar with) then requesting that both parties take random blood tests to ensure fairness.

 

With Oscar, i believe there was a rehydration clause that said he wasn't allowed to weigh over a certian weight come fight night. But Oscar completly killed himself cuting so much weight he couldn't put it back on an came into the ring a zombie. The rehydration clause wasn't 147 but possibly somewhere in the 155-160 range.

I read the Cotto rehydration clause was read out on some countries national sports channel, again it was to weigh in at 145lbs an put no more than 10lbs on before entering the ring. Altho there was a claim some other national sports channel said Cotto could come into the ring anything under 160lbs.

I think Freddy Roach thought Cotto was gonna do an Oscar, he really didn't believe Cotto could make 145lbs with no bother an his antics at the weigh in was that of a man who was pretty unhappy. Cotto looked good in the first 2 rounds then was on his bike when his punches wern't hurting Pac, while he himself was getting hurt.

Cotto is a great man and a true role model, he doesn't complain about anything. I'd be really interested in hearing his thoughts on the Pacquaio fight, once he packs up the gloves an has time to reflect.
