Who's your favourite non-British fighter?

Pac is my favourite fighter, no one else comes close.

 

Na, SouthpawSlayer also loves him and he has been to see him in Vegas as well, I think. I am a big fan of Pacquiao but, as I've said before, it's hard to really like him whilst he keeps getting the better of my favourite fighters, although there will always be question marks over the scoring in both of the JMM fights. I accept that it's an incredibly childish stance, but that's the way I feel. I'm more in awe of Pacquiao than anything, I guess.

I feel the same with JMM when it comes to judging my favourite fighters; JMM is by far my favourite fighter and no other fighters I like come close in comparison to how much I admire and respect JMM. I honestly don't think I will ever be a bigger fan of any other fighter. I might even cry when he retires.

 

atschWTF are you talking about? Pac clearly won........................... just kidding man, I thought Marquez won the second fight by a point. Marquez can be fun to watch, but it's his personality that turned me off him.

 

I don't want this to turn into a cheerleading face-off, but what on earth is wrong with JMM's personality? He isn't ever disrespectful and only ever answers questions put to him about Pacquiao; it isn't like he goes out of his way to stir the pot. I think he's fully within his rights to be a bit pissy about the scoring in both fights as well, TBH. To add to that, JMM also seems like he is the world's greatest dad: he's a genuine world class, multi-weight champion and one of the best in his sport, and he also plays computer games with his son (as seen during the PBF-JMM 24/7 series).

To add to that, he's incredibly talented and wears his heart on his sleeve. JMM is the man.

 

I got annoyed with the constant bitching about Pacquiao. It's like every few months there's a new quote from him along the lines of "Pac's scared, he don't want none, he knew I beat him".

Fair enough, the fight was close and I thought he won, but he didn't exactly remove all doubts did he? He got dropped 4 times in the two fights and I got sick of his complaining, as if it was the biggest robbery of all time. I don't know if this is true, but apparently he was approached for a third fight but asked for 50/50 split and olympic style drug testing, and so Pac fought Clottey instead.

Pac showed a lot of class and even invited him to his birthday party but he's still acting like a kid who didn't get his own way and hasn't once given Pac any credit.

 

The fights were close indeed and I personally have never heard of JMM saying that he was 'robbed' in any of the Pacquiao fights either. I think he just wants another crack at the whip and he also knows he won't get as much money fighting anyone else. His motivation(s) for nailing another Pacquiao fight down are common ones with most fighters, IMO. You also have to accept that most of the time he is just answering questions put to him about Pacquiao rather than going out of his way to get some attention.

I haven't heard about JMM's birthday invite before. Maybe Pacquiao was just stirring the pot as well?:think I know he invited Cotto after he just pasted him.

 

"It's nuting pusonal, jus doing my job". I just wish Marquez was more like Morales and David Diaz and just said "**** it, I'm gonna go to the Phillipines, drink some beers with Pac and maybe even make commercials with him".

katsidis just comes across so chilled out and likeable in interviews. if he was british i think he'd be as popular as hatton was, if not more!

my fave non british fighter right now is still pacman.
