Slap I don't really get your issue with Ogogo. Has he really said anything different to many other fighters.

have to say just watched the replays and if a few of them cant make irelands squad they gonna have some squad in 2012.

But the scoring annoys me keep like woodhall was saying its about keeping a tight guard first and foremost there must be some other way of scoring, but its the same for everyone i suppose.

Well he's from Clones in Co. Monaghan, which is in the Republic of ireland...

Its a confusing one. I'm sure someone in the know will pipe up soon enough....

I thought it was fairly disrespectful considering he was soundly beaten....

Whether or not other boxers say the same thing is neither here nor there. Disrespect in boxing (particularly after a bout) is not a nice thing in my opinion.

    Sitting on the fence again:lol:

PS. Why did the BBC (Ron Boddy I think it was) interview the loser of the final and not O'Kane. Thought that was bull**** - the winner deserved the exposure of a tv interview on BBC after what he achieved.

To be fair if you had of clicked away from the red button and onto the main BBC he got interviewed after ogogo whilst the national anthems were being played. they used that protocol all day basically, interview the guy who finished second first and then the winner..

Fair enough - I didnt know that. I only saw the McCarthy fight and the O'Kane one - so didnt notice this format....

I only copped it myself cos i could faintly hear O'Kane being interviewed whilst the national anthems of the previous fight was being played(some sort of weird interference) so I knew he was on one of the red button options , so pressed back up and he was on the main page....

how is it possible and under what rules?

Maybe its the granny rules? Callum Johnson only fought for Scotland because his gran was from Scotland - he is from the English midlands.

I'll leave the fence sitting to the nordie journalists - they'd rather run a mile than offend.

    God forbid!
