Lewis brutalising Vitali on the inside was not a fluke. So Vitali happened to have paper skin & half his face was hanging off, surely that's just a demonstration of Lennox's skills as a monsterous puncher?
awww more klits haters who think there funny. Its not his fault he fought in this era...or maybe is it? some of you biased haters need to grow up....peter pan...count chochula
I am afraid that I cannot agree. This prefered weight is very subjective. People thought that Chris Byrd did not belong to heavyweights. Yet he was very succesful even against very big guys. When he went down he was not the same. Yes, you gain something but on the other hand you lose something too. So going up and down in weight is not that simple.
The first cut led to all those things. When blood is pouring your eye it is hard to see the punches coming. You have to concentrate on the reason that led to all those things. It was a one punch that did not landed solidly but cause a horrible cut. So its actual weight for the outcome was too big.
1. Sam Peter 2. Kirk Johnson 3. Corrie Sanders 4. Juan Carlos Gomez 5. Danny Williams off the top of my head.
i'd be more generous. in fact i had him winning 4 of the first 6 but the tide was all in lewis' favour. by the 6th he was straying away from the sloppy brawl vitali wanted, was placing his MUCH harder shots and getting the better of exchanges. i'd say vitali would have lasted until the bell without the cut but would have suffered his first recognized knockdown and been mangled by the end
Vitali Klitschko vs Lennox Lewis THE TRUTH Vitali took the fight on just 10 days notice. Vitali was clearly winning the fight 4-2 on all 3 scorecards at the time of the controversial doctor stoppage. Lewis was badly hurt and was staggering around the ring like a drunk, he barely survived the 2nd round. Lewis was getting outboxed, outworked, outlanded and was hurt several times in the fight. punches landed Vitali 156 Lewis 102 Lewis was exhausted, worn down and hurt from the accumulation of punches and was ready to get KTFO again, he collapsed onto his stool at the end of the 6th round, Vitali was the fresher of the two, he was a man on a mission and would've KO'd Lewis for sure if the fight had continued. All the fans at Staples Center cheered for Vitali and booed Lewis after the fight. Lewis promised Vitali a rematch. Vitali destroyed Kirk Johnson in 2 rounds and called out Lewis again in the post fight interview. The scared Lewis retired shortly after that fight. Lewis turned down 30 million dollars for a rematch and retired like a coward because he knew he would get destroyed by Vitali. Vitali dominated Lewis and scared him into retirement. George Foreman This content is protected : "Vitali was winning the fight. Lewis got lucky, there has to be a rematch!" Jim Lampley: "A lucky escape for Lewis who was clearly losing the fight" Even Emanuel Steward was upset and pissed off at Lewis for blatantly ducking a Vitali rematch. Lewis is scared to death of Vitali.
i love the klitschkos but...lewis tko6 vitali any way you look at it, he lost. cleanly and fairly to a cut. it was a wild, wonderful brawl while it last. vitali made his entire career off of that fight, for both his performance and his heart. can't we be happy with that?
Lewis wasn't "over the hill" when he got his ass whooped by Vitali. Lewis was coming off the KO win over Tyson. In the Lewis/Tyson post fight interview Lewis said "I'm like fine wine, I get better with age". In an interview right before the Vitali fight, Lewis said "I'm at the peak of my powers" He also said he wanted to keep fighting for a few more years. Vitali dominated Lewis and scared him into retirement. That's a FACT.
Lewis TKO6 :smoke Lewis was up 4-2 on the cards in most reasonable fight fans eyes. VITLAY had a good first 2 rounds where he landed his Sunday best punches on Lewis - what effect did it have? It pissed Lewis off, that's what. Lewis came out for the 3rd, tore a hole in VITLAYS face and basically beat him up for the next 4 rounds. VITLAY was holding onto Lewis like a cheap, 2 bit ***** at the end of the 6th - after being told he had "one more round" by the doctor. The fight was over, VITLAY knew it, his team knew it and Lewis knew it. Of course they could have given VITLAY one 'extra' round but he'd have got ****ed up worse and probably disabled. Still loving the denial from the VITLAY fans though, all these years later :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl
