only thing i'll disagree if with is the scoring: i've seen this fight a LOT and every time, i score it 4-2 vitali
do you really believe lewis was at his peak at that night? he was well past it by tyson, let alone vitali. and he was horribly out of shape. and then he still got a TKO over vitali. it makes vitali's loss worse and worse the more you address how prime lewis WASN'T
:good But to hear some tell it, Lewis was old and fat and uninterested. LOL I take Lennie's own assessment of his condition over his dillusional supporters. I guess Vitali's shots caused Lewis to immediately *get outta the peak of his powers*..
and ali said he felt better than he had in years and felt 10 years younger when he fought holmes. he was wrong or full of ****. so was lewis
When I watched it live I had it 4-2 to VITLAY too, but I didn't argue with the stoppage as VITLAY was ****ed in that 6th round. I've watched it several times since and I'm now convinceed that the judges were mental. Lewis was 4-2 up in that fight when it was stopped.
fair enough:good but klitschko is 1-0 for the event so who who cares:hat man, vitali is the only world heavyweight champ whose entire career is based in getting knocked out. at least schmeling went down with a ****ign nut shot
1)fighters aren't exactly notoriously unbiased about their own performances and abilities 2)no, it was age, weight and declining performances over years that robbed him of his peak peak lewis=morrison, not peak=holyfield, way not peak=vitali
Are you ******ed? Vitali has never been knocked out. Unlike Lennox Lewis, Vitali has a great chin, never been down. Vitali also has great stamina, he always gets stronger as the fight goes on. Vitali would've given Lewis his 3rd KO loss if the fight had continued.
TKO=technical knock out he would've given lewis a loss if he didn't lose himself in other news... ali would've beaten holmes if holmes wasn't any good hearns would've been leonard if he didn't land all those lucky punches pep wouldn't beat saddler if not for that pesky knockout what ifs don't mean ****. vitali lost. lewis is a top 10 heavy, vitali isn't.
Lewis got KTFO by two bums. Vitali would've KO'd Lewis for sure if the fight had continued. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABZu5v2JPuE[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPQy-ScwyvE[/ame]
Those two bums knocked out a prime Lewis. A shot version of Lewis stopped Vitali in 6. So if Vitali did 10x worse than those bums, what does it make him?
this is true. lewis did lose and there's no excuses for those losses but i don't think a vitali win is guaranteed. and i know it's not fair to lewis to dimish his last great win. it's a fantastic win and great performance by BOTH
