To me this "Dream Fight" would be much like a Tyson vs Ali, I think that Marciano had a much better chin then Lennox, but Lennox has amazing jabs and quickness.

    So the question is

Lennox Lewis (prime) vs Marciano (prime)

I'm sure this question has come up a few times in the past, but I haven't been here for a while, and i wanted to know who you guys think would win?

I would say Marciano Round 6, Knockout....

    Thanks

Considering the massive weight and strenth advantage i wouldnt be surprised if Lewis really hurts him badly.

He wouldnt even need to throw many punches a round, just a few jabs then lean his body weight on Rocky for a few rounds and when he wanted throw in some killer right hands for the smaller man.

I cannot see a way (outside a lucky shot) that Marciano wins this. I just can't.

Is he tougher than Lewis? Yes
Does he have a better chin than Lewis? Yes.
Better stamina? Probably, but he'd ****ing need it.

Jab, uppercut, right hand, grab. That's all Lewis would need. His pure size and strength advantage combined with his skill, make this a tough fight for a man giving up about seven inches in height and about 40 to 50 pounds in weight.

But as I watch Marciano, i see that no matter what size the fighter, he always moves into the body, pow, pow, then the to the face. If Marciano does this the whole fight, he could ware down Lennox's body, making it harder for him to get a breather when he needs it the most.

Lewis is a monster compared to Marciano. If he'd been around back in the day people would have been thinking "what in the ****ing hell?".

Marciano is tough but he is a crude fighter compared to the modern day fighter like Lewis.

Lewis' size coupled with the arsenal of punches he have, like a very good jab, uppercut and hooks will make it very difficult for Marciano to survive the fight.

He can't come in close to Lewis without being tagged . . . and it's not hard to guess who's going down first.

    This is ridiculous.

    Absolute whitewash.

    Marciano would never touch Lewis.

Marciano wouldn't get within cooee of Lewis's body.

Jab jab jab - if he gets a bit close then - Uppercut grab then Push away.

Jab jab jab right hand etc.

The ref stops the fight during the 7th round with Rocky a bloody mess but still a clear mind. Rocky would need to be at least 6'2" to have a great chance in beating Lewis, and he was not.

The best part of this argument is that when it gets held in the Classic section, everyone says "Marciano easy KO".

That being said, Lewis easy KO.

Marciano would have to get inside of Lewis's massive reach and land a picture perfect right hand, otherwise, this is all Lewis.

My pick: Lewis by TKO (too big a size difference)

People were shocked at his size :D

Lewis is infinitely more skilled than Carnera, though.

The common shock at seeing Carnera back in the day was from the fact that he appeared a giant ogre, not because he was truly deadly in any sense.

Lewis. But Marciano was tough as nails and was a great puncher so I wouldn't count him out completely.

Lewis by KO, I would bet the farm on it.
