Great to see Solis taking a real challenge. KTFOing clubfighter after clubfighter will get him nowhere so Austin is a good option.
I don't believe that Solis can simply walk through Austin. Austin's reputation has gone down the toilet since he lost early to Wlad but I wouldn't overestimate that. In fact, even Eddie Chambers was on the verge of being stopped against Wladimir in round 2 and he is by no means a bad HW. Austin knocked down und drew with Ibragimov which is more than Solis brings to the table (at least in pro boxing).

Solis by late stoppage or decision.

I think this will be a good fight, we can see how he looks fighting a Klitschko size guy.

Solis won by UD against Julius Long.
It also took him 8 rounds to get past the 6' 6" Kevin Burnett (13-4), who
was KO'd in 1 round by Michael Grant.

This is a nice build up fight for Solis, one he can surelly win by just taking it seriouslly.

Hope he is taking better care of his shape, would be nice to see him under 250lbs.

a step up? an upset? you got to be joking. all ray austin has done since getting knocked the **** out in the second round by wlad is beat up nobodies and guys at the very end of their careers. this fight is a joke solis will kill him. the only reason this fight is happening is because ray austin is with don king

Well it's not like former silver medalist Ibragimov was a slouch as an amateur either.

I do think Austin gets pretty damn underrated just because people remember how easily Wlad destroyed him.

Austin had some promotional issues for a while and the WBwhatever pulled his mandatory, and he had to file a lawsuit to get the spot back.

If Solis can get his weight down i think he can be a top fighter, maybe even #3 by next
    year...

Don King tried to screw Ray Austin so he had to wait for awhile to get his shot. This should be a very good fight and the first real test for Solis. I agree that Solis has not been impressive with tall guys. I expect a close fight.

Austin is only used as material to bring Solis further. Austin hasn't had 3 descent fights in his career and has fought only twice against fighters (Golota and Williamson) who where over the hill (Williamson even never saw the top of the hill).

I would not be surprised if Austin were to beat Solis, but Don King will not allow such.

This is completely illogical. We have no idea in what shape Solis is going to show up in. Nor has he been exactly stellar agaisnt some of his limited competition.
