Marquez wanted a record pay day. He had to move up to get the fight.

Roach said he would only let Manny fight Marquez at above 144

Ricky Hatton nearly always weights 158-159 in light welter weights.

Cotto was 155 in ring. Probably 7 pounds less than he was against Margarito

De la Hoya was 147 in ring. Probably 15 pounds lighter than he usually is at Welter.

Roger's completely right. What's contracted aint the whole deal.

Roach is notorious for making opponents agree to come into the ring at certain weights as well

Coming from the *******s who think Alex Ariza and Bob Arum are honest people.

Man, Pacquiao's a proven liar himself. You still suck his balls

I know, I was being sarcastic.

Edit: I don't agree with you that Roger is right, the majority of it is bull****. But if you read my post correctly, you will see that I was being sarcastic.

People who know nothing about boxing shouldn't be allowed on grown up boards.

The fight was at 146, as Marquez had to move there to get the fight made.

Freddie Roach said clearly, that any Pacquiao fight would be at at least 144 for Marquez

Hatton weighed in 152 on fight night.
Cotto said himself he trained for speed so he came in lighter.
    Oscar, he let himself down.
    Clottey, I don't even know.

Why are people who know nothing about boxing, lecturing a guy actually talking on the subject with a bit of knowledge.

Roger said there was a difference between OFFICIAL contracted weights, and deals trainers do behind the scenes.

Oscar was probably 15 pounds lighter than he would have been against any other welterweight opponent.

Cotto, at least 7-8 pounds lighter than he was against Margarito

Hatton, at least 6-7 pounds down on his weight from Malignaggi.

Clottey, at least 10 pounds lighter than he was against Zab Judah and Cotto.

Big guys tend to bulk up when they face small guys. Not strip off weight. They're obviously being ordered to, to get the pay day

Man, you're in fantasy land on the De la Hoya thing.

I read weeks before the fight that he had agreed to come in very very light, in order to get the fight. It was an agreement with Roach.

Oscar FAILED TO MAKE THE WEIGHT when he fought at 150, the fight before. He couldn't even weigh in at 150, let alone fight at the weight.

Why on earth is he going to choose to fight at 147?

So you believe that Hatton fight should be at 147 and not at 140 and the Hoya fight should be at Middleweight and Pac should climb up there from lightweight?

Alex Ariza was at Corrales camp as conditioning coach for the Mayweather fight. The steroids didnt take effect thats why Corrales got knocked out? :-(

Because Pacquiao was the ticket to a rematch with Mayweather or at least look good.

DLH has fought at that weight before, albeit many years ago but Pacquiao had never fought at that weight class before that fight.

Roger also said that Pac is on a substance called A-side meth which used to be taken by Filipino soldiers to make them immune from bullet damage. Do you believe that too?

The rest is pure speculation - do you have any evidence of Cotto, Hatton or Clottey coming in a lot lighter than their usual fight night weights?

he really contradicted himself there! hatton spent his whole career at jww apart from two fights at 147 where he had a contreversal win over collazo and a defeat to floyd. so really floyd is the guy fighting guys outside of there natural weight. he did it with hatton and jmm. The mayweathers really astonish me with there actual lack of knowledge!
